“You are a chosen [woman], a royal priesthood, a holy [daughter], a [woman] belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of HIM who has called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.” 1 Peter 2:9, NIV

UPDATE:  This is SO much FUN reading about  you and reading your comments to one another. Ya’ll make my heart smile so big!! {And just in case you wanted to know – I’m 45, live in North Carolina and in my spare time (which I rarely have), I love to watch a movie with my family, read a good book or be outside soaking up the beauty of God’s creation.} I wish I loved to cook and be crafty like so many of you!!

  1. I am 38 years old and live in Cedar Rapids Iowa with my husband Garth and 6 children with number 7 do soon. When I find some free time I like reading a book, taking a long hot bath and spending time with my husband ( we don’t get a lot of that lone time.:)

  4. I just had the big “4-OH!!” I live in a little town west of Wichita, Ks. Named Kingman. I am a single mom during the week. Hubby is gone Monday through Friday. Our 5 beautiful kiddos, all blessed with their own unique talents, help me survive The week without Will around. Our favorite thing to do is play games together.
    God is our strength.

    I love the outdoors, so gardening, taking walks in the country and being with my family is what I do in my spare time.

  8. I live in a little town of Tekamah, NE. (N of Omaha about 50 miles). I’m 42 and a mom of 3 boys in different cycles of their lives. (JR H/H School/College). WOW, they keep me busy. We also have invited one of our girls (we’ve ministered & loved on since she was in 5th grade/same age as my son, but she’s not going to school yet) to live with us. Between Church, Good New Club, & Youth Group, & boys activities, I guess I don’t have a lot of time. I have enjoyed “A Confident Heart” SOOOOOOO MUCH! I asked for it for Christmas too & got it! I have been blessed to be a part of this study! It has opened my eyes & heart! I truly love to spend time with my family watching TV, Movies, Video, Games, eating or whatever. During the day (which is my spare time) I usually do my Bible Studies & listen to worship music! It’s so peaceful & quiet! I AM BLESSED!

  10. Hi I am Lynn Reyes 48, and I live in Milwaukie OR. I have more like to do’s than time. Of course I Love learning more about God and spending time with my Family. 3 Children, and 6 Grandchildren. My Husband and I take a two week 3000 mile vacaton together each year to visit our families, we drive so we can talk. We never run out of things to talk about. My other spare time to do’s:All Things Crafty, however all forms of Quilting have taken over the others for the last few years. I also like to read, fish, golf, cook, …. See Too many interests.

    I work a full time job then come home to be a full time mom and wife. 🙂 My free time is limited like every mom/wife out there. When I have those precious free moments I love to….umm…I guess clean. Maybe that’s my problem. I’ve put myself on “hold” to take care of everyone else but “me”.

    With this wonderful book and the great messages, I’m learning to find myself again. I have forgotten about “me”. I forgot how important I was….especially to the Lord. There’s no way to repay you for the happiness that I’ve found through your book but do know this: I pray and thank the Lord for you every day! Thank you for your sacrifice! It’s immeasurable.
