“You are a chosen [woman], a royal priesthood, a holy [daughter], a [woman] belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of HIM who has called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.” 1 Peter 2:9, NIV

Please print and post your word and verse for the week. Continue reading chapter 6 and asswer questions 1-3 at the end of the chapter. We’ll chat about them here soon.

Ya’ll make my heart smile so big!! {And just in case you wanted to know – I’m 45, live in North Carolina and in my spare time (which I rarely have), I love to watch a movie with my family, read a good book or be outside soaking up the beauty of God’s creation.} I wish I loved to cook and be crafty like so many of you!!

  3. I know I’m a little late, but I fell behind when my kids and then I got sick and don’t want to read the posts ahead of time so I have been saving them until I get there. 🙂

    1. I’m originally from New Jersey, but I currenlty live in Orange City, Florida.

I’m a single mom of 3, teach elementary school full time with extended duties, tutor, teach dance 1 day/week, try to be active in church and I’m doing this bible study and a book study on parenting beyond my capabilities so the free time question is kind of null for me, but if and when I get some, I enjoy reading children’s books, watching old movies, listening to music, but most of all anything that involves my children! <3

  7. This is really late and I am not sure you will even get this but thought I would write my very first comment ever while I have the nerve!
    I am 46
    I have loved this Bible study but am doing it way slow because it is very hard for me to go where some of this goes. When I started this I thought I didn’t have any issues in this area, Ha! I am a ministers wife after all!!

    My free time is actually part of what I am struggling with right now. My husband works away on a 2 and 2 and we just started empty nesting since August.
    I do want to say thank you Renee, it is amazing to me the time and attention you have spent yet we are not charged money for all this. I do pray God abundantly blesses you above anything you can imagine!

    • Good for you, Brenda, for posting! I am doing this slowly too and I too am finding some of it very rough. I’ve spent so many years building on the layers to hide my insecurities that digging down deep can be very scary. I truly beleive God brought me to this study and I will pray that He will bring you strength and peace as you venture forth.

  28. Cheryl Boyd. I am 55. I live in Kitty Hawk, NC. I have lived here 32 years. In my spare time, I love to hunt beachglass. I also like to take sunset pictures, cook and craft. I love spending time at home with my family. And I am enjoying this bible study. I really appreciated the clarification between condemnation and conviction. It is really helping me do discern and sort through alot of my past and put some things away. That absorbed right into my spirit and I thank you.

  31. I haven’t participated in the roll call or comments yet. My name is Tori. I live in Decatur, IL and in my free time I LOVE to read and okay okay okay….I admit it….I watch TV……. Am working on finding healthier activities in my free time. All the knitters in the group (and a new grandbaby) have convinced me that I want to learn how to knit. I already know how to crochet. So, I bought a book and have watched a few helpful videos but have to admit….my stitches keep falling off …. just about the time I start making progress. This is actually quite a good metaphor for my life……needless to say, this study is good for me. Thank you ladies for your comments, inspiration, and the sisterly LOVE!!! God bless! ooops just realized I forgot to tell my age. Now how do I go back after I’ve already hit post comment….oh…..guess I can’t tee hee.
