Ya’ll make my heart smile so big!! {And just in case you wanted to know – I’m 45, live in North Carolina and in my spare time (which I rarely have), I love to watch a movie with my family, read a good book or be outside soaking up the beauty of God’s creation.} I wish I loved to cook and be crafty like so many of you!!

    I love to scrapbook, play around with photography, read, study God’s word, go to trhe beach.

  4. I am 42. I live in Minnesota but from Michigan. I have a couple special needs kids so free time is incredibly limited for me. I recently have had the opportunity to join a fitness club and enjoy exercising in my free time.

    3. We have seasons here so my spare time interests are seasonal too! In summer and fall I would love to be outside from morning to night if I could, gardening, riding bike kayaking going to the beach whatever as long as its outside! Winter and spring however I do more reading, scrap booking and I love road trips with the family!

  14. I just had the big “4-OH!!” I live in a little town west of Wichita, Ks. Named Kingman. I am a single mom during the week. Hubby is gone Monday through Friday. Our 5 beautiful kiddos, all blessed with their own unique talents, help me survive The week without Will around. Our favorite thing to do is play games together.
    God is our strength.

  18. I live in a little town of Tekamah, NE. (N of Omaha about 50 miles). I’m 42 and a mom of 3 boys in different cycles of their lives. (JR H/H School/College). WOW, they keep me busy. We also have invited one of our girls (we’ve ministered & loved on since she was in 5th grade/same age as my son, but she’s not going to school yet) to live with us. Between Church, Good New Club, & Youth Group, & boys activities, I guess I don’t have a lot of time. I have enjoyed “A Confident Heart” SOOOOOOO MUCH! I asked for it for Christmas too & got it! I have been blessed to be a part of this study! It has opened my eyes & heart! I truly love to spend time with my family watching TV, Movies, Video, Games, eating or whatever. During the day (which is my spare time) I usually do my Bible Studies & listen to worship music! It’s so peaceful & quiet! I AM BLESSED!

Of course I Love learning more about God and spending time with my Family. 3 Children, and 6 Grandchildren. My Husband and I take a two week 3000 mile vacaton together each year to visit our families, we drive so we can talk. We never run out of things to talk about. My other spare time to do’s:All Things Crafty, however all forms of Quilting have taken over the others for the last few years. I also like to read, fish, golf, cook, …. See Too many interests.

    I work a full time job then come home to be a full time mom and wife. 🙂 My free time is limited like every mom/wife out there. When I have those precious free moments I love to….umm…I guess clean. Maybe that’s my problem. I’ve put myself on “hold” to take care of everyone else but “me”.

    With this wonderful book and the great messages, I’m learning to find myself again. I have forgotten about “me”. I forgot how important I was….especially to the Lord. There’s no way to repay you for the happiness that I’ve found through your book but do know this: I pray and thank the Lord for you every day! Thank you for your sacrifice! It’s immeasurable.

    free time… depends which week. In my free time I love to catch a nap (sad but true), hang out at my blog (you can see I don’t have much free time by my absence), paint my nails, read or be outside on a long run.
    It’s funny cuz lately I’m so busy I’m too tired to read, write or paint my nails so I just snooze or catch up on The Voice episodes with my family.

  38. Hi everyone! I live in North Carolina and I am 49 years old. Many things that I enjoyed doing in the past are now on the “back burner” because of my health; things I thought I would still be doing at 49. Every time I get depressed about this, God teaches me over and over again that He is my answer for everything yesterday, today and tomorrow! This winter I have not had the energy to commit to a weekly Bible study at my church, so what does God do? He provides an incredible teacher online for me to learn from! (Thanks Renee for allowing God to use you in such a powerful way.) I am thankful that God has given me the ability to enjoy being with my family and friends, reading, writing, taking shorts walks, cooking (only because I like to eat!), singing and listening to music; and most of all, time with our Lord. I have so enjoyed reading everyone’s posts; this is so cool connecting with women from so many different places!
    I wanted to share one more thing that really got my attention about spare time. A friend shared with me from her late mother’s journal this quote: “You can never find time to do anything; you must make time for your accomplishments.” Ain’t that the truth!

  40. The first step in moving from AM to FM is to recognize the throght for what it is, as it says in 1 Corinthians 10:5
    “We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”

    I enjoy Christian music (singing, listening,compiling playlists on a particular topic), reading, and travelling with my husband since we are now empty-nesters

    My sister and I live in different cities, and have talked about doing a Bible study together for many years. This gives us the opportunity to do just that!

    In my spare time which is very small since I have 7 children and work every weekend so I can be home during the week, I like to spend time with the family, like watching movies, going for walks, going to farm shows or tractor shows, read sometimes my devotional books like confident heart,and sometimes a good christian fiction book, cook and bake and read cooking magazines or new cookbooks, garden and go camping with the family.

    3. TOO MUCH free time and it is not good for my sanity. Moved to GA 2.5 years ago. I have no friends, although I know some people to say “hey” to, no family near, can not find a job. Trying to keep my head up and this study helps me use my brain, redirect some bad thought habits/patterns I’ve let develop, and a bit ofspiritual growth is always a blessing. I’m blessed with an amazing husband, 3 great kids, 3 dogs and a cat running around….many, many blessings.

  50. I am from Michigan, and after living in 3 other states, and another country, I am back close to where I grew up!

    I am 27, and nervous about being closer to 30….. 🙂

    I LOVE spending time with my husband, just relaxing on the couch, watching TV, talking about our lives, or praying together (the list goes on). On my own, I like to read, watch sci-fi TV, and work on my novel. And I love being able to learn about confidence in Christ! I’m learning so much from the book, and God has given me confidence by pushing me out of my comfort zone so I can better be used by Him! 🙂
