Renee, I signed up for your bible study last spring and unfortunately never got to do it. I let too many things get in the way of what I know God wants me to do. I began reading the first chapter of your book and it feels like you wrote it just for me. Thank you.

I just started this book about ten minutes ago.. and I’m really struggling at the moment trying to be confident. Getting into college is a disaster and I’m really scared. I hope this helps.. prayers are welcomed.

Loved your book ACH and would love the devotion to go along with it. 🙂 I just recently finished an OBS with your book and felt as if I could have written a lot of your words. Thank you for sharing your story and writing such an encouraging book.

I enjoyed your book A Confident Heart! I don’t always look at myself as an overcomer and on those days when I am down God gently reminds me that I am an overcome through him.

I literally just finished reading A Confident Heart. A few weeks ago, I wanted to start a new book. I had 10 downloaded and could not choose so I let my 9 year old daughter randomly pick one. She chose your book and said , “Mommy, God wants you to read this one. It’s important.” I just shrugged and started. After the first chapter, I realized this was not going to be an easy read. I suffer from parlaying insecurities caused by things that happened in my childhood and I also battle depression daily. Also, I am being treated for thyroid cancer which causes my emotions to be unstable. Overall, it was awesome but the one thing that changed my life was your interpretation of Jesus and the Samaritan woman. I never realized how much I run to others to be fulfilled only to be let down. I now remind myself throughout the day to only bring my water jar to Jesus! This concept has completely changed me! You can be assured that, through your words, Jesus is healing me in a very broken place that causes me daily strife! Thank you and may The Lord continue to bless you.

Ronee, your note touched my heart and meant so much tonight as I read it. Im thanking Jesus for the way He used your daughter to place this message in your hands. He loves you, you know? He wants to pursue you and hold you close through all you are going through. Im praying His promises sink deep into your heart and soul and chase those doubt, insecurities and depression away.
Sweet Jesus, keep healing Ronee’s heart and remind her again and again to go back to these truths you are pouring over her now. In your name I pray, amen.

Ronee, I too was treated for thyroid cancer and celebrated 1 year free from cancer in December. Just know that God has you in His hands and that nothing can separate you from His love. Praying for peace for you and that you know how loved you are!

I was dealing with a challenging situation and self doubt was overwhelming me. I found your blog and the poster encouraged me greatly, especially those words, ‘Press on and have hope for God is faithful.’
I felt God was speaking to me, telling me to keep going for He would be with me. As it turned out that is exactly what happened. I faced my challenge and God came through for me!

We have to remind ourselves every day that ‘we are an Overcomer’! If God is for us, who can be against us! I love Mandisa’s song ‘Overcomer’. It’s such an encouraging song and gives me the boldness to believe it!
Thanks as always for your wonderful encouraging words!
Blessings,
Susan

You will do great Christena!! God is so proud of you for stepping out and leading this group. Just be yourself, share your own story and struggles to create a safe place for them to share theirs. Love on them, pray for them and pray with each other according to how comfortable each person in the group feels.
Also know that I wrote the book with leaders and small groups in mind so that the questions at the end of each chapter would be easier to answer as you got to know each other. That is why the first one is usually more “personal” so that you all can get to know each other and there isn’t a right answer to the question either.
Praying for your group to grow so close to the heart of God, deep in the love of Jesus and connected in friendship with each other in ways you can’t imagine. Asking Him to give you lasting friendships and lasting confidence by the end of the last chapter!

Starting your bible study A Confident Heart with a group of ladies (don’t know who will show or how many) at our church tonight. Excited, but as I re read chapter one, it was talking about feeling inadequate and doubting your ability to lead – I knew where it came from because I did start doubting myself, but while reading the scriptures and praying them, I know God has called me to do this… I haven’t led a group of women in a long time and could use prayers and any suggestions on leading the women through this study! Thanks 🙂 <3 I am an Overcomer and more than a conqueror, I have nothing to fear!! 🙂
