I’ve been praying for each of you that posted concerns last week in this post. I’ve also got two winners to announce, but first I have a special friend I want you to meet. Abby Rike is full of joy and an abiding trust in Jesus that is contagious. Perhaps you remember Abby from The Biggest Loser, season 8. Although she lost 100 pounds, she gained the world’s attention and heart through her tragic story and amazing faith. Abby has lived through what most of us fear most.   3. Besides writing just Godly life changing information I forgot to say thanks for praying me. That is one of the greatest gift a person can do for another. God bless you. I do hope I’ll be able to win your book or any of your resources but if not I’ll have to find a way to get it. Being a Senior on a limited income puts you at a disadvantage. I just wish I had found you guys when I was younger so I could have changed the direction of my life earlier. Sharon

  4. Again, I just can’t say thank-you enough for writing these books and devotions. Your not only encouraging but offering hope to us. I too hope someday I’ll get to come to a conference. I hope you’ll plan one close to Branson, MO. I just get so overwhelmed by all the information. Usually I go on overload and then know I can’t keep up and quit, I so want to get better so please pray that I can absorb all these great works of yours and know how to appy it to my life. I thank God for He has spoken to me through the inspiring messages that i have read from day 1 up to this day which is day 5 for my diet.   7. I’ve learned a lot naming my thoughts of worries, fears, self doubts and all those negative feelings i have. I’ve been living with them and it’s only this time that i realize they are all unhealthy thoughts. Now i know what to pray to God and i am amazed that for every thought i’ve named, God has a response and promise to it. Thank you, to you both for inspiring and enlightening me. I really feel blessed to be part of your ministry (even just through your website) and by reading your blogs and inspirational messages.   9. Thank you for sharing this video. It really struck a chord when Abby said “Everyone is hurting.” Sometimes we can get so caught up in our own lives, feeling down and rightfully so, but it’s important to acknowledge those around who are struggling as well.

    For some reason, I am dumbfounded and amazed at how someone like Abby can smile and find “joy amidst hideous circumstances.” Unless we experience trials, we’ll not know how to relate to others. I don’t wish pain in anyone’s life-especially someone like Abby. But, thank you so much for sharing your story. Your joy and smile radiate and captivate.   10. Oh wow!!! I just found this on facebook. I have been wanting to hear Abby speak and now a bonus to hear Renee! I am praying that I will be able to come. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers…thank you for acurately naming the sin that has haunted me for as long as I can remember…now that God has pinpointed that area for me, I am trusting that He will begin to perform “laser surgery” on it and show me what I need to do to help with the healing…I am coming boldly to the throne of grace so that I may obtain mercy and find grace to help in this time of need…

    I thought for the last 2 years I have been sitting on a fence not knowing which way to turn out of fear of making the wrong decision. Today’s devotional and then reading the first chapter of your book has showed me it is not fear but self-doubt and the inability to trust in God and follow his blueprint for my life. Thank you for allowing His word to speak through you to us and I look forward to reading more and allow your ministry to be a source of guidance. — M

  15. I just joined your website and I looked at the video with Abby. It is so touching and it’s amazing what you can do when God is on your side. My mother departed in November of 2002, and if it were not for my faith in God, and the help of my immediate family and my church family, I don’t know how I would have made it. We serve an “awesome” God!! God can take our tradgedy and turn it into triumph…….!

  23. What an amazing testimony of overcoming such a tragic situation. I can’t imagine what Abby went though…so thankful for a loving God who could heal her in a way that only He could. Best wishes for the conference…I just wish West Virginia was so far from California. Praying for a West Coast conference!
