I’ll go first: I’m 46 and live in North Carolina. In my free time (which I wish I had more of) I love to sit on our back porch and read, and relax or play games with my family. I also love to watch a movie with my husband.

  1. Hi there! I am 30 and live in Arkansas. I homeschool my 5 year old and 3 year old and so I don’t have much free time. In my spare moments I do love a good cup of coffee and a good book. I also love to travel with my husband.

  2. I’m 32 and live in Croatia. In my free time I like to read christian book (I’m interested in marriage topics and christian counseling), talk about God and encourage my friends, and doing nothing with my husband.

  4. My name is Mary and i am 31 and from Illinois. In my spare time I like to travel and go around with the band that I am in and help lead worship at Celebrate Recoveries.

    • Mary,
      That is great that you participate in Celebrate Recovery that way. I joined CR just over a year ago. It has made a huge difference in my life!

      • thats great. That you are involved in cr. Can I ask you where. I have been involved in cr for 2 years and it has made such a difference in my life.

    • I joined a CR small group in Le Mars, Iowa in Sept. and LOVE It! it dovetails so well with The Confident Heart. CR, Confident heart,Christian Counseling and anti- depressant and JESUS have enabled me to work through my stress induced anxiety and other issues. I am more at peace then I have ever been.

      • Thats great. CR does remind me a lot of the book. God has really been working on my heart through cr and i have been clean from same sex attraction for a year and a half and the more i get involved in it the less i have a desire to go back to my past.

        • Blessings to you. I have a daughter involved in same sex relationship. May God continue to work in your life.

          • thanks deb. it was really hard to get out of that lifestyle but with the help of God and my cr family. Iwas able to get out of it and then went into the mormon church but now im back on track and sharing my story with people and helping people who have been there or who r there now.

  6. Hey y’all!! I currently live in Tennessee but originally from Alabama 🙂 I am 29. I’ve been picking up some new activites to enjoy more time with my husband. right now golf and scuba diving! I also like to bake and watch movies.

  7. Hi everyone! I’m Brandi, I’m 29 years old. I’m a Homeschooling mom to my 3 boys ages 7, 5 and 2. I love to read and I knit and Crochet in my spare time and I’m getting into sewing. I spend most of my time cooking and cleaning and anything homemaking. I’ve been married to my sweetheart for 9 years and going strong.

I am from Western NC (and I am almost 30- will be here before I know it 🙂 ) in my spare time i LOVE to go on a hike and take in the beatiful bloomingnature, all the waterffalls, etc that our area has to offer; i love to travel to new places, hang out with my great friends, watch good movies (esp good quality comedies), etc.

  13. Blessed morning all I’m Jenn. I’m 36, living in Ceres, CA (central valley). I have a lot of hobbies, but not a lot of free time as a single mom. I enjoy fellowship with my Sisters, crocheting, crafts, reading, listening to Christian music & volunteering.

  14. Hello everyone, I live in North Carolina and I’m 53 years old. I enjoy spending time with family and friends.

  15. I am 49. I was born and raised in NY. I currently reside in Central Florida. In my free time I like to play with our pets, enjoy watching my three children play together ages 12, 13, and 20 (sure can be interesting to say the least.) I also enjoy taking walks and having conversations with God.

    • Also wanted to say that I’m loving the roll call, Renee! In my head it sounds a little bit like the Miss America pageant: “Hi, I’m Holly from the great state of NC!!” etc. Now you all hear that in your heads don’t you?? You’re welcome. 🙂

  17. I am 45 and live in Wasilla, Alaska. (Originally from PA) I enjoy getting out here with my malamute in all seasons…currently had two snow storms back to back 🙂

  18. Shawna Wright here from Gardner, KS. That’s just south of the greater Kansas City area. Free time? What’s that? Lol! When I do get a bit I really enjoy a good book or time to sit and chill with my family…

  19. Hi! I am 27 years old and hail the great state of Nebraska. I have a toddler boy, so when I actually have free time…ha ha!…I love to bake cupcakes, meal plan, try new recipes, read, write, attempt to be crafty, watch movies with my husband, and spend quality time with our friends. I enjoy spending time outdoors watching my son play. He gets so much joy from being outside! I also really love the MOPS group I recently joined, as well as spending time on this Bible study. It’s been a really good experience for me so far, and I am excited to continue!

  20. Hi, I’m Annette Trujillo. I’m 49 and I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I’m a single parent with 4 children. In my spare time I enjoy working in the yard and camping. I have been away from the Lord for about 2 years and now I’m on my way back to finding out how much He really loves me, because I have doubted him for such a long time and didn’t realize it until I started this bible study. Thank you Renee for inviting each and everyone of us.

    • Annette, bless you! I raised two children as a single mom and can’t imagine doing it with four!! I’m praying God gives you an extra measure of grace to you and your children. So glad you are finding your way back to God…it will make all the difference in the world to you and your children. You are in my prayers!
