Today I wanted to share with you a “LetGodLoveYou” Prayer written by my sweet and amazing friend Sheila Mangum.
“Lord, you are GREAT and most worthy to be praised. (Psalm 145:3) There is NONE like You. (Jeremiah 10:6) You are the God who sees. (Genesis 16:13) You see Your daughter in desperate need of Your love and attention. (Psalm 121:1-8) Your heart yearns for her wholeness. (John 5:5-7) Your desire is for her heart to explode with Your love. Your love is safe for her. It will not wound. (Psalm 147:3)
Your love heals and delivers. It will NOT leave. (Deuteronomy 31:8) Father, stoop down this minute and give Your daughter the attention she needs today. (Psalm 18:35) She feels alone. She feels weak. Therefore, fill her days with laughter, love, and beauty. (Proverbs 17:22) Strengthen her spirit to receive Your healing love. Even if she feels like running from you, chase her down. Prove to Your daughter You are faithful no matter what! (2 Timothy 2:13)
Give her encouragement when she expects it the least. (1 John 4:19) Give her mercy when she feels the least to deserve it. (Ephesians 2:4) Give her whispers of love into her heart. (Psalm 73:26) Let her taste and see that You are good. She is fortunate because YOU are Faithful and True! (Revelation 19:11) “O taste and see that the Lord [our God] is good! Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the woman who trusts and takes refuge in Him.” Psalm 34:8 (AMP) Father, wipe her tears today and love her BIG. (Revelation 21:4)
Friend, let’s Let God Love US as we RETURN TO OUR FIRST LOVE today. (Revelation 2:4) In the Mighty Name of Jesus we have prayed. Amen and Amen!

I would love to win the Prayer Journal, but even if not, I have found an old journal of mine and am claiming 50 days of blessings and miracles for myself to overcome this deep depression I’ve been in lately. I will be journalling for 50 days, starting today, of positives and answered prayers. It is going to be my ladder out of this pit of darkness.
What a lovely and powerful prayer. As I read it, I could help think about how amazing our Father is. As He is so faithful to answer this prayer, we too should give others encouragement when they expect it the least, and give others mercy when they feel they don’t deserve it.
What a beautiful prayer of love from the God of perfect love!
What a beautiful prayer! Reminding me that God loves me and showers me with His grace and goodness – even when I least expect or deserve it.
Powerful. {& Beautiful!}
Thank you. For writing and InSpiriting us …
After a hard day at work and stressful few weeks reading your prayer was very uplifting..need to focus on God’s love right now and allow it to refresh and renew me as I am feeling overwhelmed and kinda down..thanks
There’s just something about praying scripture, the words touch a place in the heart very few words can ever find. Thank you for sharing and offering up a joy-filled giveaway!
This prayer by Sheila was very moving. I cried and I’m not sure why. I guess I would just love to really experience what the prayer is talking about with my Heavenly Father. My dad stopped being a dad to us 5 kids when I was very young and so I guess rejection is what I and my siblings feel. Anyway Renee I read your devotional message this morning in the Made to Crave OBS and you knocked my socks off. I really was deeply affected by your message. I plan to follow (stalk you) No just kidding but I so relate and just want to thank you. <3
Hi, I would love to win a “Prayer Journal”. Sheila’s prayer was beautiful and heartfelt. I love how she prays straight from Bible verses. Praying from God’s Word is such a perfect way to pray. It’s the only way to find the right words–His Word. It is so effective and encouraging. Susan
Beautiful, encouraging prayer- thank you for sharing
Sheila’s prayer was exactly how I felt and exactly what I needed it helped me to feel our Lord’s presence better
Love this prayer….such a wonderful reminder that despite our weakest feeling moments…we are strong because we love the Almighty and He has claimed us as His own! So blessed! And, so happy I have stumbled upon (and signed up to follow your blog)!
Thank you so very much for the uplifting words and testimony of our worth to our Father.
May we each gather strength and courage and in turn bring that to someone else.
My Friday is more peaceful for having taken the time to read and reflect on her words.
Many blessings and hugs, j
What a beautiful and insightful prayer for us tobe and feel loved. Thank you for the opportunity to use a prayer journal. Receive peace on the Happy Hearts Day. Marti
I’m recently began copying and printing prayers, collecting them to learn how and what to pray. I went to TJMAXX (department store) and the Tuesday Morning Store yesterday to look for a scrap book or journal to paste my prayers into so I can flip through the book at anytime and find a prayer for what is on my heart at any moment. I didn’t find what I was looking for, but I intend to find one. It made me smile to read your post and see that you have this giveaway. Love it!
Always encouraged by your posts. Thanks for the chance to win!
This prayer is so awesome! I love that this prayer is all based on scripture!!
What a beautiful prayer………….SO WONDERFUL to know that God loves us and we experience it! Thanks for posting this Renee.
I look forward every morning to “Encouragement for Today”. It’s like my morning vitamin. Today’s prayers were exactly what Jesus ordered, as I have been battling with past rejections and low self esteem. I also have a friend who is battling with fears – the enemy has convinced her that cancer in her life or the life of her loved ones is inevitable. She spends her life in fear, please pray for her healing. I would love to have your devotional – I would have bought it, but I have been unemployed for 8 months now, and certainly cannot afford it. In the interim, I will continue to daily read your messages – they are uplifting, inspiring and very comforting. Thank you for the work that you do!
Oh how I needed this prayer and oh how I need a friend that knows me and knows and loves God. I have friends that know God, but they do not truly know me. I have one close friend that knows everything about me but does not know God. The one person that a wife should count as a best friend is my husband. He doesn’t have a clue about what my heart and soul needs. He doesn’t know God and has been running from God for quite a while. He doesn’t like it when someone tells him what to do, even God. Lately he has been on Facebook quite a bit. He has been communicating with a man who is Buddhist and has been posting Buddhist quotes. Two days ago he posted a quote with a pic of a statue of Buddha. I flipped out. It doesn’t anger me as much as it scares me and I don’t know what to do…I do know what to do. I should be praying, but I haven’t been praying for a long time. I feel so beat down that I can’t look up. Every time I try, I get hit again. I get it from all directions. Just when I think I can come up for air I get blindsided. When I do try to share with women at church, they don’t understand and they have nothing to say but I’ll pray for you. I am worn, torn, and utterly defeated. I have no one to turn to but strangers.
Lori God is with you and loves you and GOD is your best friend and will always be!!!!!! Trust God and remember everything is in his time not ours. Keep praying and try fasting some things prayed for take fasting as well. Pray and fast and trust God’s word he says that trust in him and your family will be saved.
I was raised with witchcraft and my parents don’t believe but I trust God and have faith that in his time not mine they will come to know him that their eyes and hearts and ears will be open and softened and ready to hear and learn all about him.
Have faith and know that you have a lot of sisters in Christ praying with you!!!!!
Blessings to you, Brandy Bunch
