Hello my name is Brandy Bunch ( not Brady Bunch ) LOL 🙂 I live in Indiana and my favorite thing to do is to take walks with my family or by myself but I must say that it was such a blessing one time to be walking by myself and all of a sudden I was surrounded by an enormous amount of butterflies. It was so unreal like something out of a movie,it let me know that God was with me and he Loves me.What an amazing gift from the Father. Thank you Lord for all your amazing gifts.

I am 34 and I live in New Mexico. I like to spend time with my husband, family and read. The last few months have been very trying for my husband and I. We have been trying to get pregnante for 11 years. In August of last year we were told that I could not conceive naturally and would have to have help if we wanted a family. I started in vitro treatments in October and we got pregnante in Feb. and I misscarried at 6 weeks. I had a d&c done and we have started the process again. The doctor says that we are blessed because we have 6 eggs frozen and I wont have to start at the very beginning. I have been through a roller coaster of emotions in the last few weeks and have had doubt and fear about the futrre. I know that God has a reason for all of this and someday I might figure out that reason. We are going to try again in May and pray that God will help me. I said all of that to tell you this. My best friend that I have had since kindergarden found this bible study and asked me if I would do it with her. She lives over 500 miles from me but we talk almost daily so we can do this together. It came at the right time and many things are touching my heart in just the first coulple of chapters. I pray that God helps me and shows me what he wants me to learn in this study. I have to make a correction, I am actually 53…wow! Living in Georgia and enjoying the fact that God can take a broken life and put it back together in a manner never before expected. Maybe that’s why I like to repair or re-purpose things, using them in a new way. God has done that with me many times over the years. I am thankful for His untiring faithfulness and consistent reminder to keep my eyes on Him. This is gonna be fun.

Ok so I know I already shared but I feel like I really need to share. I am a 27 year old mother of three. My oldest is 7 and has adhd, my daughter is 4 and is special needs, and my 2 year old son is extremely bright. I have been married for 4 years but they have been rocky and hard years. We have been through domestic violence (emotional and verbal) and he had an affair less than a year ago. I read chapter three and it spoke to my heart and finally made me feel like someone actually understands. This book is a total gift from God. I am also involved in a group that is about surviving sexual abuse which I did as a young girl and a young woman. Digging up this past has been extremely difficult and causing alot of self-doubt and other feelings. I think that God is giving me a way to heal from the past and at the same time learn how to change my heart. The biggest thing I have a problem with is my marriage and children. My husband was saved in the past and now has fallen away. Our marriage is suffering because of it and I feel it is only holding on by a thread and I am trying so hard to hold on and see it through… but I am worn, tired, and empty. So I am hoping I can learn to lean on God and see if that changes things… but its hard to imagine God fulfilling the intimacy I dont get from my husband.

Your post caught my eye and got my attention quickly! At the age of 26, I, too, was in an abusive marriage with two small children. My ex was physically, verbally, and emotionally abusive. He was also having an affair with a young woman at his workplace. I struggled with what to do as he had also essentially walked away from the church. I felt so alone as my family was adamantly against divorce. I eventually left the marriage and sought a divorce. I have been remarried now for 13 years to a wonderful, Godly man. Abuse, cheating, and divorce leaves scars. Even after being divorced for all of these years (15 years now), the wounds are still there. God did provide healing and I think if I let go, He would provide even greater healing.
I am not suggesting divorce in any way, shape or form. I struggled with the Biblical implications but eventually could not take the cheating and abuse any longer. I want you to know that you are not alone. I am happy to talk and/or e-mail with you any time you need support, or an ear, or a shoulder.
Abuse in any form is unexceptable. I been in a abusive relationship. A man who refuses to see his faults and refuses to deal with them is a broken person. Please break the curse for your children’s sake.
I understand that but God has shown me a few times that my husband is my mission field. That I am here to help lead him to God. I know its not easy but I know that outcome will cause overjoy for our family.

My heart breaks for you and am familiar myself with the pain of an emotional and verbal marriage and a childhood past of sexual abuse. I was married 21 years and together 23. I’ve been divorced for approximately 6 months and am in the healing process. I struggled with divorce and cried out to God but after 8 separations and the same cycle my boys and I were so worn and fragile. I cried out to God for direction and that is the path He showed me to take. He revealed to me that I needed to let go and let Him have my husband. Since then God has revealed so much truth where there were so many lies and deceit and has revealed he has set us free. I pray faithfully for my former husband.
The Lord healed the deep rooted pain from the sexual abuse in my childhood and is in the process of healing the pain and affects of the abuse in the marriage.
He is the mighty healer and binds up the wounds of the broken hearted. He is El Roi the God who sees and knows your pain and all you have and are enduring. He loves you with an everlasting love and will never leave you. He can restore what the locusts have eaten and make all things new in His timing!!!! He stores your tears in a bottle and doesn’t waste our pain. He uses it!

Hi Tami you are not alone. I have been there myself and know the feelings and the pain. For years I thought I was over it but with giving my life to the Lord and going to church plus this study I have found out I’m not. I too was abuse sexually as a child by my real father and it played a big part in what I thought of my self growing up. My prayers are with you and may God lead you to where you need to be.
