I am 43 and live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Like all working Mom’s (especially the single one’s like me) my free time is a rare and precious commodity! I have discovered gardening and have a park close to home, both allow me time alone with God. I make sure to feel the dirt, smell the air and listen to the birds sing. When I have fearful moments (not often but sometimes), I look in amazement at all the creatures that don’t worry about how they look or where their food is coming from and I remember – God’s got me! I am known.

I’m almost 62 (not retiring yet), I live in the wonderful Sonoran Desert (NW Phoenix area) and I love to hike the desert trails with my Christian sisters, spend time with my family (son, daughter, grandchildren) doing any activity, and having fun with my SLICs (Single Ladies In Christ). In 19 days I am hiking down to the bottom of the Grand Canyon with 9 other ladies from my church, another bucket list item.
