I get to spend some special time today with my friend Kim. We used to be next-door-neighbors, too. I’m really looking forward to it, although I wish we were going shopping or doing something fun instead of what we have planned.
Today we are going to the Cancer center for Kim to meet with her doctor about a new tumor they found. Kim was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer two years ago and this week she found out there is a tumor on the back of her eye.
Two years ago when they found Kim’s cancer, it had spread throughout her body in her bones. She had several tumors in her spine, her pelvic bones, legs and shoulders. Immediately they started radiation, chemotherapy, and all kinds of treatment to shrink and block the cancer from spreading.
Kim has been fighting and praying hard to win the battle. I have been amazed by her strength and grace, and absolute dependence on God. Her faith in Him inspires me! She has grown to such a tender and believing place in who He is and how much she can trust Him.
I’ve watched this mother of three constantly point her children to God for hope and encouragement. I’ve seen her be present for them like He is for her. More than anything she wants her kids to know that God is always with them and has a plan for their lives.
I have to admit that it has been so hard to watch a friend go through so much suffering. I cry out to God almost daily for a miracle. I ask “why” and wonder what His plan is in allowing a mom of three children – 4, 7 and 12 – to go through this with them watching and wondering. They are so worried about their mom and so sad to see her feeling so sick. And Michael, her husband, so wants to fix it as any man would.
Kim has been in tremendous pain and her discomfort has increased due to more tumors in her spine and other bones. She also has some small tumors on her liver they are watching.
I’ve been praying for ways to encourage and bless Kim and her family. Mother’s Day is coming and I wanted to do something really special for her. I know the greatest gift I can give is prayer, God’s promises and loving on her family!
So, today I wanted to see if you will help me bless Kim. Will you join me in praying for Kim, her husband Michael, and her kids Jessica, Grace and Matthew?
And would you be willing to leave a prayer for them (maybe with a promise) in the comments below. I will print them and put them in a keepsake box. I want them to know that people from all over are lifting them up and believing God for healing and miraculous hope no matter what the future holds. This will mean so much to her (and me too)!

This absolutely breaks my heart. I have two friend with terminal breast cancer, however they are both single ladies in their early 50’s. Still. I pray for them regularly.
But to be a mommy and go through this is unthinkable.
“Father,
I ask for your mercy on Kim. Your Word declares that by the stripes of Jesus we ARE healed. Please touch her and heal her from the top of her head to the souls of her feet.
Pour out your Spirit on Kim and her husband and children today. Grant grace, strength and joy in the midst of this difficult journey. Most of all God, I ask that your manifest presence will be with them all every moment. In Jesus mighty name, Amen.”
May the Peace of the Lord which surpasses all understanding be with you and your family now and in the future.

Heavenly Father,
I come before you tonight with all of these other precious women to lift up Kim and her family in prayer. Father, I come into agreement with every person here as they have prayed for healing, peace, joy, grace, strength. Thank You that You are able to do exceedingly abudantly above all that we ask or think! (Eph. 4:20) Lord, please do just that…do more than we can even imagine.
Lord, I also pray that You will bless them richly through Your Word…giving them specific verses to cling to as a lifeline. Specific promises that will bring truth and hope to the darkest hours.
Father, I love You. And I thank You that You are forever worthy of our praise and our trust, even when we don’t understand what is going on or why. You are for Kim and her family. You are not against them. May they feel safe in Your hands.

Father, I come tonight on behalf of a sister in need. Her name is Kim, you know her pain. Lord, you know every location and degree of this cancer. Please be with her and ease it, touch her in only a way that you can do. If it be your will heal her from it and let it leave her body.
Her loving husband Michael, and children Jessica, Grace and Matthew stand ready to do anything to make her life better. Give them comfort and insight on how to help her. Children don’t understand it when mommies get sick. Comfort them Lord, surround their home with a hedge of extra protection and comfort that only You can provide. In her strength allow Kim to be all she can be to serve you. Please Father calm her heart and her fears. It is your perfect planning Renee is her friend. How wonderful she is to give her these messages for Mother’s Day.
We praise you for all you have done for us, in your name we pray. Amen.

You are the GREAT physician and I pray Lord that if it be within your will that you would heal her of these afflictions. I pray Lord that you would comfort her children and husband as they have to sit by and watch her suffer through these terrible times. I pray for peace, comfort, and continued faith…in your son’s precious and holy name.

Dear Lord, I lift up your daughter Kim today, and ask you to grant her peace, comfort and healing. Guide the hands of the doctors to know exactly how best to treat her, and if it is your will Lord, we ask you to heal her of her cancer. Please be with her children and husband as they go through this very difficult and scary time, and help them all be able to see little glimpses of you throughout this hard journey. Be their strength and their energy to keep pushing forward. We praise you for Kims faith and for the role model that she is to her children even despite her circumstances. I pray for a peace to enter the hearts of the children so that they will not worry but instead treasure every moment with their sweet mom. Empower Kim with a sense of peace and purpose so that she can continue glorify you and depend on you while she walks through this valley. I ask all of this in your most precious and heavenly name, Jesus. Amen.

I pray over Kim her husband and their 3 children. I pray that you will touch this family in an incredible way. I pray Lord that you will allow healing, peace and comfort into their lives. God-I thank you for Kim and how you have blessed her with Michael and 3 precious children. I thank you God that she points people to you. I pray, God, that you will continue to meet her needs as you have said you will. I pray for her relationships with each of her children. That you will give her strength to be the the mom you have called her to be so that she can teach her children to love you with all of their hearts, souls, minds, and strength. I approach the throne on her behalf Father that she will know you are ever present and all knowing and crazy in love with her.
Oh Lord – I just cry out to you for Kim, Michael, Jessica, Grace, and Matthew. Lord please be so present in their lives. Comfort them and be so real to them right now. And God – I ask for complete and total miraculous healing for Kim. Cleanse her body, Lord. Heal her body. Give her life, endurance, strength, vitality, faith, hope, health, and restoration. Please give Kim and her family your peace as she goes through this amazingly difficult time and help her to know Your presence at every moment throughout her day today. I pray that you would heal her in a miraculous way and thank you for the glory that you are receiving from her life in ways that we do not yet understand. Thank you, Lord Jesus!
Father, I ask that you be with Kim and her family during this difficult time. I thank you for keeping her so strong and allowing her to continue to lean on you for guidance. I pray that your will be done, in your heavenly name, amen.
Lord, I pray that You would shower Your blessings down on Kim and her family. We know that You are the Great Physician and we are believing in You for her healing. Give her the strength to keep fighting and the energy to be Mommy. Lord, we believe Your promise when You say, “I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out–plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for. When you call on me, when you come and pray to me, I’ll listen.” (Jeremiah 29:11-12)

Heavenly Father, Please be with Kim and give her strength to get through this give her a sense of peace that comes from her faith in you and the grace that you extend to each of us. Lord help her husband Michael to understand her and give him comfort so that he may comfort their children Jessica, Grace and Matthew. Father i would ask that you bless each of these precious children with understanding and your love help them to endure this trial. in Jesus name i ask for these things, Amen
Father, you are the one that knows every devine spot in are body because you created us in your son’s image. I ask that you lift this beautiful woman never to feel alone or afraid. That you will bring a continue flow of your peace, love, and understanding. That you will comfort Kim’s husband and her children and they will always feel you near. Thru you all things are possible. In Jesus name!

Father God, may Your perfect love and healing touch permeate Kim’s body, mind and heart right now. May Your perfect peace keep she and her family trusting in You. May they continually gaze upon the beauty of Your face. May they fix their hearts and eyes on You and Your eternal glory. Let them taste and see Your goodness moment by moment.

WOW Father, this is so hard to pray about! You are ever, all knowing. You are in control of every situation. Please wrap your comfort around Kim. Let her feel your peace. I sense that Kim wants her family to be at peace with what lies ahead for them. Times will be tough as Kim fights this disease. Please help her family to see you working in this situation. Help them to not feel alone, or unloved by You. You are the great healer, please send your healing touch on this beautiful woman Kim. Let her work on this earth not be finished yet…she has a great story to tell about her Handsome Bridegroom…let all the world see!
