As I think about the perfect gifts to give my kids, my husband and my mom this Christmas, I’ve decided that more than anything, what they want is more of “me.” More of my time, my attention to really listen and be together for no purpose but just that!
God’s been whispering to my heart about loving well, living deeply, enjoying the gifts of those I love most! He’s been reminding me through His Word, through messages and music that when I look back on my life, it won’t really matter who I knew, what I have or what I did, what will matter most is how I lived!! That brings me to my next thought…
Cool Christmas Give Aways – TWO DRAWINGS!!!
It’s time for my Cool Christmas Give-Away and we extended it since the response has been so amazing!! I just couldn’t only choose one. I have loved reading everyone’s comments and stories, and hope you’ll leave one, too!
About my gift: Have you heard Point of Grace’s newest song, “How You Live”? It’s my favorite!! When it comes on, I turn up the music and sing with all of my heart. It embarrases my kids but, oh well.
Last month I had the incredible blessing of getting to know three of the members of Point of Grace on the Girl’s Get-Away Cruise. I told them about how we do give-aways on our blogs, so they gave me a signed copy of their photo and their newest CD – “How You Live” to give away!!! Here’s the music video they did with their kids. (click on the arrow to watch) You might want to get some tissue or get ready to sing – either way, turn up the music and listen closely – it just might change how you live!!
There’s more….
My Cool Christmas Give-Away includes the Point of Grace CD, an autographed photo, a 2 session DVD from my “Living and Leaving a Legacy” women’s conference and a copy of God’s Purpose for Every Woman with devotions for everyday to help you really live! And I am giving away Two Gift Paks now!!
To enter the drawings, click on the word “comments” below and tell me how this song touches your heart and why’d you’d like to win. You can also post on Lysa TerKeurst’s blog (for double entries). We’re now doing the drawing Thursday morning, and we’ll both announce the winner on our blogs.
Remember this Christmas and all throughout next year, it’s not what you give…it’s how you live!!!

Thank you so much for the opportunity to tell you how much I love and am inspired by your website! A friend referred me to it about 1 year ago. I save all of them in a folder, I figured out how to do that, and send them to friends and people I love. I loved the video and was crying during it. It IS so important to live everyday as if it was your last and to let your loved ones know how much you love them and want to spend time with them. It’s also sad because my daughter is missing out on all teachable moments and milestones and everyday JOY, because of her lifestyle and with me raising her son, my grandson for over 7 yrs now he is 11 now. I cry for my grandson, my daughter and myself. I try to share with her , and forgive her and most of all to love her and it helps me when I read the devotionals that I know God is helping me with to deal with all of this on-going, stressful life. I know HE is speaking to me through all of you at Proverbs 31.!!I am constantly thinking about Romans 8-28 and trying to understand the point of it all. I love God and my church and all of my christian Helpers, angels that God has put in my life. Thanks again,

Great video! I haven’t seen this one yet. My 2 kids are grown and recent college graduates. This video brought back so many memories. I have a type A personality that always wants everything to look perfect and be oh-so-tidy. It was difficult for me, but I made a decision when my kids were little that I would just get over all of that. My M-I-L probably cringed at how my house looked sometimes when she would pop over and I would be in the dining room tent (you know – blankets and sheets over the dining room table) with everything in a complete disaster. But we had some great times. My husband and I never missed a single event through the years. We are so proud of our children – an English professor in Japan and a nurse in Dallas. I know that God blessed us because we continually asked for His help and we took the time to be there for our kids. I see so many parents who don’t take the time to be with their kids and it is a sad situation. If you have young ones you need to be there!!
Keep up the great work.

Reminding me to live each day one moment at a time. Reminding me to enjoy each and every blessing God bestows…whether the gentle breeze or the strong winds…the laughter or crying of my prescooler, and even the hormonal craziness of my 15 year old. Each moment, lived to the best of my ability for Christ!
Thanks for the reminder!

I’ve never ‘blogged’ before. I love my daily P31 devotions; Thank you for blessing my days. I loved the song, I started out having a sad day, my daughter’s fiance just called off their engagement. The song reminded me of how blessed I am to have my daughter turn to the Lord and me for guidance and how proud I am of her for saying “I just want to please the Lord and honor Him.” (It hasn’t always been this way, she was totally away from the Lord for 2 of those 21years) so I cherish every moment I get to spend with her. We are only promised today, I don’t want to miss anything in her life, I have never regreted spending time with her, that’s how God feels about us (His children) He loves us and wants to spend time with us, whether we are busy, happy, sad, glad, etc. I just pray I can make a difference in the world too.
I would love to win, because Point Of Grace is her favorite group.
By the way, we are going on a bible teaching cruise Jan 7 and spend her wedding money! Won’t that make the devil mad!

I am struggling with depression right now, but this song always gives me a happy heart and removes my tunnel vision for awhile. You can’t know how it feels to have that darkness lifted for a time. God is surely good to us!
Peace be with you,

I’m new to your blog and the daily
Devotionals/inspiration thru Proverbs31 Ministries!! When I first read your give away I didn’t even know who the artist or song was but after listening to the video…I realized it’s the very song I heard a few days ago on a particularly rough day and every word sunk in as I was driving and I was determined to make that my life song!! Only I didn’t know title or artist. Thank you so much for this post. Even if I’m not chosen to win…I’m winning because now I can go get it when I have some time and of course the $
God Bless you for being there for all of us when we go searching for something we know is missing in our life but not sure how to find it and get going with it!! My walk with Christ is growing thanks to your help!!
Sincerely,
Jessica

This song really hit home and touched my heart today as I listened to it. I read my devotions from proverbs 31 everyday when I check my email. But lately I’ve been rushed and haven’t been taking the time I need to slow down and digest what I read. But yesterday I was in a car accident and everything became very clear. If that wasn’t enough for God to get my attention, today my daughter came home with the chicken pox even though she’s had 2 vaccine shots of it. Now I know that when He told me to slow down, He meant literally. My life was one “appointment” to another. Working, taking care of 3 girls, ect. I now have 2 wonderful weeks to spend with my sick daughter as we both recover. THank you for this song that I needed to hear at just the right time in my life.

Hi Renee,
I’m really enjoying this blog tour. : ) Thanks for your generosity and for your reminder to connect with our real live relationships. I’ve been spending too much time lost in cyberspace lately, and not enough with my loved ones.
Merry Christmas!

Ok, Renee, so here’s what happened to me today. First of all, this song is embedded in my mind because I have listened to it so many times, and when I am not listening to it..I am singing it. I went over to Mobile today to Lifeway Christian Bookstore to get the cd and when I couldn’t find it right away I got help and they found it. There were 3 copies on the shelf and I bought 2. One for me and one for a Christmas gift for my daughter. This cd also has a beautiful song called “Heal the wound” and my goodness! it is awesome as well. Thank you for bringing these touching songs to my attention. They truly can be life changing. I needed this!
