A peek inside…

Hi friends!

I’m almost ready to throw open the doors of my new home online. Just a few more pieces of furniture and wall hangings. But, my publisher wanted me to launch it so they could link to some pages, so I decided I’d leave the door unlocked for special friends like you, too. When it’s finished in a week or so, I’m planning a big open house with door prizes, special guests and more!

I’d love to hear your thoughts. How do you like the place? Any thing you want me to add? If you are looking for more videos, other than the one that is on almost every page (my book introduction video :->) you can find a few more on the Free Resources and Media pages.

Also, I wanted to update you on my 7-day Doubt Diet. We ended up with just under 6000 people signed up!! It’s been an amazing week of connecting with so many of you via Facebook, hearing your stories and being so encouraged by how God is speaking to you in such personal ways.

We’ve had a fairly smooth week considering how many emails were going out, and we were using a system I’d never used before called MadMimi. The support team there has been amazing and so quick to help. And you guys have been so patient and helpful on your end, too. Thanks you!!

I know some of you are missing devotions and I’m so sorry about that. Please send your first and last name, along with your email to [email protected] and let us know which day’s you are missing and we’ll send you links or let you know how you can get them soon.

Also, a few of you have posted on Facebook asking if day 5 was sent Friday. Yes, it was. But we were having technical difficulties and the subject line was mistakenly listed as Day 4 Devotion1 – but it really was Day 5. Also, some are wondering where Day 7 is. It’s being sent on Monday, July 4th.

    Loved your devotional today. The scipture, 1 Peter 2:9 is the same scripture we themed our Illinois Credo Recovery weekend around in April, and it blessed my heart all over again. I just purchased 3 of your new books, and I am using one with a gal who I am mentoring. You speak my heart.

    Thank you so much for your site. I was fortunate to be invited by my good friend Carrie. Today’s proverb was actually on point for me. I was actually sharing with my friend that I am searching for balance and a way not to be overwhelmed. The prayer “Lord, when my concerns consume me…” is a perfect reminder for me to say when I am allowing worry in. Because I am caring for a special needs child, my social outreach can be limited. I find the internet support groups very helpful and now I have your site. Thank you.

  9. Girl, wow, I love your new site, it makes me want to jump through my computer and sit next to you. Way to continue to persevere through all the ups and downs to get here. I am proud of you my friend. I continue to thank him daily for the role that you have played in my life and the many others who have looked to know Jesus in a more intimate way.     The new place is looking GREAT!!! I did sign up for the 7-day doubt diet and then was so busy that I didn’t get to keep up with y’all on facebook 🙁

    I did, however, print out ALL my devotions that I received in my e-mail and I AM going to go through it and then I’m going to see if some of the ladies from our church would like to go through it. I got my book pre-ordered a few nights ago and I’m excited about receiving it when it is released 🙂

    I am truly enjoying getting to know you 🙂

    Your new Website is beautiful! I have really enjoyed the 7 Day Doubt Diet devotions and even shared parts of them with my 10 1/2 year old daughter. What a blessing for us to be able to discuss them together.

    I’m anxious for A Confident Heart to be released. I have it pre-ordered and will be leading an online Bible study on the book in my church in September.

    I love the new home. It’s so inviting, warm and have that cozy feeling, like a favorite blanket.

    I have been doing the Doubt Diet and it’s such an eye opener. Never knew that doubt could masquerade as worry or fear. I need to purchase the book because there are so many other truths that I need to learn so that I can have a Confident Heart.

  26. thank you so much for the seven day doubt readings. they have spoken to my heart each day that i have read them. i cant wait till i can order the book to. im full of doubt and self thoathing. im in recovery from drugs and alcohol i have 8 years in sobriety yet most of the time i feel i havent got a day. the enemy knows how to press my buttons and i feel myself walking away from God my Father on a daily basis. i dont feel good enough in my heart.
    i m so looking forward to more of these readings, you are such an inspiration, God is using you in a mighty way. many Blessings to you. Ann in England

  28. Looks very nice…I like the pic of you out in the field…

    Have been thinking on the doubt diet lessons. Today I felt like I wanted to cry. I have a major flaw that satan always throws in my face. It’s one of those things that can’t easily be hidden and makes me feel so very unfeminine. I often walk in shame because of it and want to hide. I don’t know how to overcome it. I know in my mind that God loves me but it’s so hard to go places where people stare.

    Back to your website…it’s great…just wondering if you could put on a little spot for prayer requests…maybe there is one but I didn’t find it.

    What a blessing you have been to me this week and I’m sure others. The 7 Day Doubt Diet has allowed me to look within myself and see where I have let God out. I have said it so many times to my youth group that if you let the devil in your door, then you have kicked God out. GIGO-Garbage In God out! Little did I know I was doing it. This site looks like it’s going to be an amazing tool in Gods work. I pray a blessing to you and anyone who visits this site in the future. May they feel loved, inspired, comfort, peace, and a renewed strength in God like I have received this week. I hope to see a lot of online studies, and discussions. Just a thought though is there any way when you do a video that it can be transcripted so we can read what you said? Even if it is just a summary. I live in the country, and have to do all internet on a dial up connection. Therefore, videos don’t load so well. I know videos are a lot easier and quicker, but I would love to know what is said if it is at all possible. Otherwise everything looks awesome! A blessing to you and your family.
