Welcome friends! If you are found your way here through my Encouragement for Today devotion, I’m so glad you stopped by. I’ve got two things for you today. First, the short and fun post below along with a BOOK give-away. Also I’ve got a link that will take you to the rest of the story of what God did that day I wrote about in my devotions – and how He gave me new direction and purpose as a mom -along with a chance to win my “Purpose-Driven Mom Gift Pack.” {The link is at the end of this post.}
“A simple word can renew hope.”
Lois Mayday Rabey

When she wrote The Husband Project, her goal was simple: create 21 simple, and inexpensive projects for women who wanted to bless their husband. {I love simple!}
In her book, The Husband Project, my oh-so-fun friend and author Kathi Lipp helps us do everything we can to love on our man – from planning a guy-date to getting him a pint of his favorite Ben & Jerry’s. And I loved hearing how one of the most effective “Projects” was also the simplest: Write him some Post-it Note sized encouragement.
Post-It Note Challenge – Write Something Fun or Flirty for Your Man!
Are you ready to show your man a little love today? If so, here are your instructions:
- Grab a Post-it
- Write something, fun, flirty, or a little scandalous on it {we give you permission…}
- Put that Post-it somewhere where only HE will find it
It can be words of encouragement, something sweet or flirty and so on. Leave the post it where only he will find it. It can be in his briefcase, wallet, on his car steering wheel, underwear drawer, tool box, whatever he is going to open or use today. Below, Kathi has listed 21 ideas to get you started thinking. If you need to, use one from the list below. OR make up your own Post-It Love note – cause a little LOVE goes a long way.

Tomorrow’s note will read: I’d choose you as my valentine every day,every year.
God has blessed me in big ways by letting me be your wife.
TMI
thank you for being such a wonderful husband and father we are so blessed to have you
You are hot and smart and you are mine! Thank you for picking me!
Thank you for providing for us every day, working hard and loving us.
This quote from Ann Voskamp’s blog made me think of you today and rejoice that you’re my forever Valentine: “The love of a quiet man can make your soul sing loud — loud!”
As we celebrate 20 years – you bless me more and more all the time. You work harder than anyone I know, taking the punches all day but coming home with a smile. Thank you for making our foundation rock solid and for being an awesome dad. So honored that you are “my man”.
Great idea – so hard to make it through life without giving one another constant “boosts”, it’s easy to get caught up in the negative and forget the example our Loving Father laid out for us 🙂
You’re the best thing that happenned to me……I am really blessed and lucky for choosing me. Thank you Lord for this man I truly love and cherish until my last breadth….
I fall more in love with you everyday.
TMI! 😉
We are apart right now but will be together again Friday night – big plans!
You’re the kind of husband that makes the other wives jealous.
What great ideas! Thanks! 🙂
“Ur so cool ur hot” 😉
Thanks for sharing! My husband has been at work since 7 so I decided to text him. Here’s my message:
“Thank you for working hard to provide for our family, Honey. You are not just a pretty face! 🙂 Love you!”
I thank the LORD for blessing me with such a wonderful godly husband. Been married for almost six years, three precious children. Couldn’t ask for more.
Blessings!
“We are so blessed to have you! Thank you for being the best hubby and the sweetest, most fun Daddy!”
I made a cut out chain of hearts and wrote a message on each heart. “God gave me you”. “Thank you for working hard to provide for us”. “Our children are blessed to have a Dad like you!”. “I am grateful for the extra time youve spent with the kids lately due to my work schedule and other events”. “I love you”.
I feel like we haven’t been investing much in each other lately. I almost feel silly doing it because, sadly, he’ll probably wonder if I’m sick because its been that long since I’ve surprised him with anything fun! However, I think he will feel special when he finds it and hopefully it is a first little step towards the both of us making more effort to show our love for each other. Thank you for the nudge to love my husband!
I love that!! Be sure to let us know his response. Can’t wait to hear!! 🙂
I’m thankful I still get butterflies like when we first started dating when we go out on date nights.
Let’s put the kids to bed early tonight! 😉
Those jeans are working for you hot stuff!
I just sent a text to my husband telling him thank you for working so hard to provide for our family and how much I appreciate how much he does. He immediately called me to thank me for the text and asked what brought it on. Currently we live in Georgia with two of my children – back in September my husband was transferred to Texas with his job. We made the decision at the time for the kids and I to stay here in Georgia until my daughter graduates high school. She is currently a junior. This has by far been the toughest thing we have done – I miss you so very much. So, thank you for reminding me to send him words of encouragement, especially during our current situation.
Oh Stacey, I love what you wrote and how he noticed. Wonder how God might use your words if you sent him a text every day to tell him how much you love and appreciate him. Im going to try to do that too. Its so easy and yet it’s so hard to remember sometimes – but what a difference your note made in his heart today. Thank you for sharing his response 🙂
