Welcome friends! If you are found your way here through my Encouragement for Today devotion, I’m so glad you stopped by. I’ve got two things for you today. First, the short and fun post below along with a BOOK give-away. Also I’ve got a link that will take you to the rest of the story of what God did that day I wrote about in my devotions – and how He gave me new direction and purpose as a mom -along with a chance to win my “Purpose-Driven Mom Gift Pack.” {The link is at the end of this post.}
“A simple word can renew hope.”
Lois Mayday Rabey

When she wrote The Husband Project, her goal was simple: create 21 simple, and inexpensive projects for women who wanted to bless their husband. {I love simple!}
In her book, The Husband Project, my oh-so-fun friend and author Kathi Lipp helps us do everything we can to love on our man – from planning a guy-date to getting him a pint of his favorite Ben & Jerry’s. And I loved hearing how one of the most effective “Projects” was also the simplest: Write him some Post-it Note sized encouragement.
Post-It Note Challenge – Write Something Fun or Flirty for Your Man!
Are you ready to show your man a little love today? If so, here are your instructions:
- Grab a Post-it
- Write something, fun, flirty, or a little scandalous on it {we give you permission…}
- Put that Post-it somewhere where only HE will find it
It can be words of encouragement, something sweet or flirty and so on. Leave the post it where only he will find it. It can be in his briefcase, wallet, on his car steering wheel, underwear drawer, tool box, whatever he is going to open or use today. Below, Kathi has listed 21 ideas to get you started thinking. If you need to, use one from the list below. OR make up your own Post-It Love note – cause a little LOVE goes a long way.
21 Post-It-Sized Encouragements

My post-it note said: Thank you for working so hard to provide for us! You take such good care of your family. By the way, you wear those jeans so well. I think you are so hot!!!
I attached a P ost it note to a Snickers bar and placed it in his lunch box. I genuinely wrote how he is like a Snickers bar…the wrapper says It ALWAYS SATISFIES!!!!!! : )
I’m so happy you’re home! I’ve really missed you this week!
My prayer has been answered and I THANK you so much. My husband Keith has been my Superman for the past 29 years of marriage. For the last 2 years he has been down after he HURT his back. It’s been really hard watching my once STRONG husband grow weaker and weaker. I have been praying along with my church family for his healing. I have also been wondering what I could do SPECIAL for him for Valentine Day. Well, now I know, a pesonal LOVE NOTE from me to him is PERFECT and I know it will make him SMILE as well as help him to walk a little talker having this come from me. Thank you, thank you, thank you, and I am going to purchase the book to continue to find ways to love on my husband.
I couldn’t resist the ultimate Valentines Day quote from the Jerry McGuire move: “You complete me.”. Thanks for the wonderful idea.
I’m praying for you today.
To my wonderful husband.
You are such a wonderful father and husband. We are so blessed to have you in our lives.
Loving you always…..
You’re the kind of husband that makes other wives jealous!
TMI!!!!!!!!!
You’re my hero!
Note says “Thank you for all you do for me and our girls……you are a strong, loving and capable provider!”
Thanks for being a great husband and dad
I am ready to quit! I am in the process of a divorce. I have four young children at home and work fulltime as a teacher. I am overwelmed and tired of taking care of everything and everybody. I just want to sit down and cry.
Oh Lana, Im so sorry. I wish I could come over and take your kids to the park and give you some time to rest. I wish I could sit across the table and tell you just how much your life matters – to your family and to your students – but most of all to Jesus. I wish we could have coffee and I could look into those weary eyes and just listen and let you vent. He’s by your side. He’s bending down and looking up into your eyes as you rest your head in your hands and wonder if anyone notices all that you are doing. He sees. He notices. He cares. Oh how he cares. Im praying for you sweet friend. Lifting your load and your weary heart to Him tonight.
“You give me your shield of victory, and your right hand sustains me; you stoop down to make me great.” Psalm 18:35 (NIV 1984)
Our children have the most amazing role model, their own expectations for their future are molded by the way you show them how to be a man, a husband, and a father. Thank you for being you!
“Thank you for being the Man of God He has called you to be.”
I wouldn’t want to live life with anyone but you! I love you forever!
Thanks for working so hard to make our dreams a reality!
Thanks for all you do for our family! 🙂
My Post-It to my husband reads: “You’re amazing! Vision Fundraising is gonna be huge because YOU will make it so. I admire your determination and love you so much. <3 Me
I didn’t write any today. But, I am going to cut out some heart shapes tonight, write notes on them and hang them in our medicine cabinet, on his desk, and other places he’ll find them after I go to work tomorrow. Some of the things I will write are “I appreciate you more than you’ll ever know”, and “Love you lot’s, love you always.” I know I need to do this more than just on Valentine’s Day. My husband isn’t walking with the Lord right now and God has been nudging me about showing him more love, respect, and encouragement so maybe the book will help me with that.
