Welcome friends! If you are found your way here through my Encouragement for Today devotion, I’m so glad you stopped by. I’ve got two things for you today. First, the short and fun post below along with a BOOK give-away. Also I’ve got a link that will take you to the rest of the story of what God did that day I wrote about in my devotions – and how He gave me new direction and purpose as a mom -along with a chance to win my “Purpose-Driven Mom Gift Pack.” {The link is at the end of this post.}
“A simple word can renew hope.”
Lois Mayday Rabey
When she wrote The Husband Project, her goal was simple: create 21 simple, and inexpensive projects for women who wanted to bless their husband. {I love simple!}
In her book, The Husband Project, my oh-so-fun friend and author Kathi Lipp helps us do everything we can to love on our man – from planning a guy-date to getting him a pint of his favorite Ben & Jerry’s. And I loved hearing how one of the most effective “Projects” was also the simplest: Write him some Post-it Note sized encouragement.
Post-It Note Challenge – Write Something Fun or Flirty for Your Man!
Are you ready to show your man a little love today? If so, here are your instructions:
- Grab a Post-it
- Write something, fun, flirty, or a little scandalous on it {we give you permission…}
- Put that Post-it somewhere where only HE will find it
It can be words of encouragement, something sweet or flirty and so on. Leave the post it where only he will find it. It can be in his briefcase, wallet, on his car steering wheel, underwear drawer, tool box, whatever he is going to open or use today. Below, Kathi has listed 21 ideas to get you started thinking. If you need to, use one from the list below. OR make up your own Post-It Love note – cause a little LOVE goes a long way.

“You are strong, smart and capable.”
Thank you for always being there for me! <3
You are the final piece to my puzzle!
TMI…..TMI…..TMI !!!!!!!
I’m praying for you today and always!
” Thank you for seeing me through eyes of unconditional love.always. love you more than yesterday”
I’ve never read your book, but my husband and I have done this for a long time. We would find them and stick them to the door facing around our bathroom door to read every day, until the door frame got filled up and then we put them all over the walls. So, our bathroom is a private love letter between the two of us, plaster in a multi-colored wallpaper of post-it notes!
This is very similar to something my husband and I do. We have a picture frame that says, “I love you because…” that we leave little notes on with a dry erase marker. My last note said, ” I thank God for you every day.”
I Love that!!!
I thank God for you every day!
My best friend just told me about this book yesterday – the fact that you’re giving it away must be God’s influence saying that I need to read this book!
Here’s my note (sent via email):
Thank you for getting (daughter) up and going this morning. I really appreciate even the smallest things, and need to tell you that more often. I love you!
God gave me you for our ups & downs!
I Love you forever and a day honey !!!!
You’re my favorite!
TMI to share…. 🙂
The longer we are married, the richer our relationship becomes. Thank you for being the best husband to me.
I wrote”thanks for working so hard! I appreciate it!”
“I have prayed about you since I was a little girl and I am so honored that God answered my prayer. Thank you for 25 glorious years!”

You da man!
Baby, I woke up today with a prayer in my heart and a smile on my face as, in the midst of our family and house-hunting struggles, I knew that with a man like you beside me, God has truly blessed me and my home is wherever you are! You are an awesome hubby and daddy and God is so faithful for giving me you! Have a peacefilled day!
Good morning! I love the occasional love note or anything that makes my husband smile when we’re apart. I would use caution on the content though. Once I put a “suggestive” note in my husband’s lunch bag and his boss got it by mistake – LOL!
Whoops!! But I bet he got lots of smiles at the office that week! 🙂
Miss you! Can’t wait until you get home! Love you!
Boy I could sure use some help in this area! Thanks for the ideas!
Thank you for showing me what unconditional love looks like. I am so proud your my man 🙂

What I wrote for my husband…. ‘You truly are a blessing from God for my and our family. I love you. Thank you for loving me!’
You’re the kind of husband that makes the other wives jealous.
He’s such a God loving man, he leads our life group after working all day. He’s an amazing father to 3 children that are mine from a previous marriage. He’s truly a blessing sent from God to us!
You are an answer to prayer and such a blessing to our family. I love you so much and am so thankful for you ~ for your joyful spirit, your love of life, your positive outlook, your strong and comforting arms…you’re my everything.
I thank God for you everyday.
Needing some motivation to do this……maybe the book could point me in the right direction.
I am so glad to be married to a praying man like you!
You make me want to be a better wife and mom. I love you!
Thank you for working hard to support our family. I love you!
I read your devotion today regarding wanting to quit. I was in tears the other day feeling exactly the same way. I need a new perspective. I need to let go and let God take over, I am just not sure how to do that. Thank you for your resources… Please pray for me.
Im praying for you right now Joan. You are not alone sweet friend. God just laid this verse on my heart for you:
The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. Psalm 34:18
Thank you for being such a GREAT dad!
love, your grateful wife
You are such an awesome husband and daddy! I am so blessed that you are mine!
Come pray with me – as today begins the season of Lent and our focus in our church is to pray without ceasing, pray for our nation, our homeless. As our marriage is shaking like a leaf – what a perfect time to start Lent and rebuild our foundation by turning to God.
