I’ll go first: I’m 45 and live in North Carolina. In my free time (which I wish I had more of) I love to sit in my backyard and relax or play games with my family. I also love to watch a movie with my husband or as a family, or read a good book.

  3. I live in Colorado Springs, I’m 56 years old. In my free time I love to knit; I always have several projects going at once ! While I’m knitting I especially enjoy watching (listening to ?) movies, in French whenever possible.

  5. I am a California girl. I am 35 and love to read mysteries and watch movies with my husband in my spare time.

  6. I am 57, I live in eastern Washington state [the part that is covered in sagebrush and is not green unless irrigated]. I love to take my dog out for runs/walks. I also love to experience God in a real and close way-I thank Him for feeling close to Him now.

  7. I am from Maine and I’m 48. In my free time, I love to spend time in God’s Word, follow my kids around to after school activities, do Crossfit and talk with my sistah’s in Christ!

  8. I am 50( last week) I live in Everett WA. I enjoy long walks -great time to spend with the Lord.

  9. I am 61. Accepted Christ 10/25/12. New at this. Sometimes confusing and have a problem with memorizing scripture, but all of a sudden the Word comes when I need it the most.
    I am retired, I take care of my husband of 20 years, raise goats, chickens a chihuahua named Radar and a cat named Vapor.
    I have 5 children, 3 girls and two boys.

  10. Hi, my name is Sheilah, I live in Georgia ( from NJ originally)! I am 53 years old. I love to go to my 10 year old son’s baseball games, have “movie night” with my girlfriends, and spend time on my screened in porch hanging out with my husband and son, and whoever else may pop over to “set a spell.” 😉

  11. Regarding Chapter Six: (I wasn’t sure where to post….)

    My mother repeatedly said to me growing up: “You (blankety blank) KIDS! I WISH TO &$#& I’D NEVER HAD YOU!” Therefore never feeling good enough was my constant companion.

    Words have a domino effect for words produce thoughts, that produce emotions, that produce decisions, that produce actions, that produce habits, that produce character, and character produces your destiny.

    By inserting doubt you can see the difference that the domino effect words have in a completely different way: DOUBTFUL words produce DOUBTFUL thoughts, which produce DOUBTFUL emotions, which produce DOUBTFUL decisions, which produce DOUBTFUL actions, which produce DOUBTFUL habits, which will produce DOUBTFUL character, and DOUBTFUL character ultimately produces a DOUBTFUL destiny.

    But we can change that! Because Godly words produce Godly thoughts, which produce Godly emotions, which produce Godly decisions, which produce Godly actions, which produce Godly habits, which will produce Godly character, and Godly character ultimately produces a Godly destiny.

    I have finally been able to re-wallpaper my mind with Godly words!

    • Dana – your words touch home here. It’s taken and will continue to take some time to replace similar cruel words spoken from authority figures when a child. The GOOD NEWS lies in Romans 8:28 (NIV) – And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose. This is a life verse for me and all that was lost, with grace all works for good. Glad your wallpaper is brand new!

  12. I am 53, originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, but this week I’m moving from Raleigh, NC to Greenville, SC. In my spare time, I love to read, knit, and volunteer. I already have a volunteer job lined up in my new town, but haven’t found a paying job yet. If anyone is from Greenville and can make a recommendation for a church, that would be lovely! ~Dawn

  14. I am 63 yrs young and live in Michigan in summers, winter in LA Lower Alabama!! In my spare time, since retired that is most days after chores are done, I like to hang out with hubby: swimming in pool or Lake Michigan on tubes, riding our scooters around the country, listening to concerts in the parks, walking around the block, playing cards and games… oh it is just endless of the fun things one can do when you get to our age! Praise Jesus for his goodness towards our lives!! PS I also soooo enjoy my quiet time in mornings reading online Bible messages and doing your study.. my quiet time with my Lord!

    I love singing on worship team and working in my garden!

  16. I am 41 years old and live in Jacksonville. In my free time I like to read, go to the gym and spend time with my family.

  17. I’m 44 and live in SC (just south of Charlotte, NC). In my spare time I love reading my Nook and spending time watching my boys play sports. Speaking of that- quick prayer request- My oldest (15) will be having surgery Thursday due to a dislocated knee (for the 3rd time). I’d appreciate your prayers!! Thanks! Loving the study!

    • Father God I come before you to lift up Beth and her family this day, Father her son will be going into surgery Thursday and I pray that you be with this wonderful family bringing comfort and peace in this time. You tell us you work all things out for our good and I pray you will do that here in this young mans life. Be with the surgical team and doctors as they work to repair and heal this young man, bring a quick and speedy healing as only you can and be with them every step of the way as it says you are. In Jesus Name i pray Amen.

  18. I am 43 years old and I live in St.Louis Missouri. In my free time I like to get on the computer check email and listen to music. Since the television is no more in our home my 12 year old and I like to go to the park to play frisbee, walk, play basketball or even swim. Also I like to watch movies on DVD and VHS.

  20. I am 49 (this is my year of jubilee!) and my husband and I live in New Market, Alabama, as camp hosts of Camp MACOBA (in our 5th-wheel RV, no less)! In my free time I love to spend time with my family — husband, children and precious grandbabies and I love to quilt and sew and craft!!

    I’m now retired, so I have a lot of free time… I help out in Church, teach Sunday School & Children’s church, teach a ladies Bible study, enjoy reading and gardening when not helping on our ranch…

  30. I am from Indiana and I just turned 30 years old. In my free time I enjoy reading and crocheting. I have been trying to crochet scarves for my mother-in-law’s children’s ministry. I haven’t gotten very many done with school, hoping to catch up over the summer. The children really enjoyed them the year I did it before.

  33. Hi! My name is Lindsay and I am now living back close to home after living all over the world. I grew up in Connecticut and now live in Rhode Island. In the free time I wish I had, I would like to golf. But alas I have two toddlers. There is no such thing as free time!! So reading is something Im able to squeeze in here and there and that sustains me. Golf unfortunately just hasnt happened for me in a really really long time. And probably wont for a little while longer…. 🙁

  38. I am 44. I’m from Virginia but we moved to Norman, OK a year ago. I enjoy reading, scrapbooking, and hanging out with my family in the pool!

  39. I am 59, I live in Canada…Ontario to be more precise. In my spare time I now love to quilt. I am a beginner and am looking forward to continuing to learn. I also love to camp in the spring and fall. We canoe, bike and go for long walks…not to forget those heartwarming campfires on cool evenings. :0)

    I live in Florida, I’m 28 and I think I remember what free time is. I’m a single, homeschooling mom to two boys so that’s where most of my time goes. But I love reading, listening to music and writing.

  48. I’m from California, live in Kansas I’m 47, and I forget what free time is..because it all seems free.. But I do enjoy sitting by the lake reading a good book.

  49. Hey ya’ll! I’m typing to ya from the great state of South Carolina (originally from NC) and am 32 years old. In my spare time, I love reading on my Nook, taking walks with my puppy, and hanging out with my family. We cook, play games, and just hang out. Does shopping at Target count as a hobby???? =) Love this study….I just started my walk with the Lord…and I’m on a mission to find a church I can call home. Nice to meet ya’ll!
