At this time of year, isn’t it’s easy to get all “gived” out? I have found it’s important to get a little each day so I don’t get depleted! The first place to “get” is from the well of God’s heart. It’s is there that I find His perspective and He redefines mine. From the living water of His Word I am filled with promises of love, grace, peace and hope.
Sometimes God comes along and through a friend or someone I love He whispers: All that you are and all that you give makes a difference!
I know how much you do each day! So, I wanted to let you know about something special the Proverbs 31 devotion writers and a few of our author friends are doing – we want to give Christmas gifts to you this year!
We’ve come up with a great way to do it through our “Cool Christmas Give Away!” You’ll have the chance to win all kinds of great things that will refresh and refuel you! From books signed by the authors— to Gift Cards from your favorite stores— to Pampering products— and much more! Ready to Win?
The “Cool Christmas Giveaway” is part of the P31 Holiday blog tour. To get started, visit Lysa TerKeurst’s blog by clicking on the button above or by visiting www.LysaTerKeurst.com. Each day Lysa will feature another speaker/author’s blog that you can link to.

I never knew there was such a place as Proverbs 31 ministries. It gives me daily encouragement. I am a teacher and I print the devotional and give it to the mother of one of my students. She is in search of peace in her life and I am finding that Proverbs 31 devotionals are a great, non threatening way to share Christ with her! THANK YOU Renee for the devotionals!

I use to be such a perfectionist, and I though I always had to be in controll ( I mean of everything), and thought I was happy.
Maybe I was, BUT now I realize no one around me was very happy, they just went along with me….. Then I found God 3 yrs ago and realized only one person is in controll, and that is MY almighty God.
Life is much Better
God Bless All of You !

Thanks so much for the heart felt devotions. I feel like every time I read the devotions I’m sharing in with a group of ladies who love Jesus Christ. The song by Point of Grace touched my heart so much. It showed me how I shouldn’t let finances tie my down to just work but totally enjoying my family. I will enjoy my husband and my three lovely children. I will take every moment to leave a legacy with the true divine help of God.

I feel that God has called me to be a grandmother that makes a difference in the lives of the 7 grandchildren that God has blessed me with…And I often wonder how they will remember me! I truly desire it to be remembered as: “How I have lived”. Those eyes are always watching me. Thank you for the reminder! (I’m a 56 yr old grandma)

Point of Grace said it all in their song. I just close my eyes and soak up every word. It is easy for us to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the holidays and even life, so many times people forget to do all the little things that make life enjoyable. Great blog!

Sometimes you hear a song several times, and then someone points it out again…and you didn’t realize that was actually in the same song!
Love, praise, rejoice! It is Christmas!

Listening to “How You Live”, brought tears to my eyes! My husband is suffering from deep depression, and he’s always bringing up the past, and all of the mistakes that he made! We are in our late 40’s now, and he lost his job, back in August! We are now, trying to file for disability, which I know will take a long time to get! I’ve been a housewife for 20 some years, and after raising 3 children of my own, and his 3 children, I was ready to spend the rest of my life enjoying my time along with him! I had almost given up hope, when he came down with depression, until my daughter ask me to join Proverbs 31! Your daily messages have given me hope and the strength to carry on! My husband and I will be celebrating our 10th anniversary this coming August 8th, and I had planned on taking a second honeymoon, but now that he has lost his job, it doesn’t look like we will be able to, and with no savings, we can bearly make it each month! Maybe with the strength that I find here, I will be able to cope with his depression, and somehow get through the fact that just loving him will be enough! God has watched over us, and He has provided for us, and all I pray for is for my husband to be happy once more! God bless, and thank you, for all that you do!

Hi Renee,
I enjoyed reading your blog. The song “How You Live” really spoke to me. Our pastor has been speaking about how God wants us to soar on wings as the eagle from Deut. 32:11. The song spoke to me because I am often very much afraid to step out of my comfort zone. It was an encouragement to me. I would love to win the giveaway. Just reading your blog and listening to the song has already been a great encouragement to me.

I love this song! It reminds us that we need to stop and enjoy what God has given us, to many times we all are in such a grumpy mood and if we just sat back and really looked at ourselfs we should thank God for what we got! This is something I really need to do more often!! Thank you!

I love the song and it sopke to my heart, it’s not who you know, and not who you are, it is how you live. This year has been heartbreaking for my family due to divorce. We have been seperated from our 3 grandchildren. It has been tempting to play the “blame game” but it is up to me “How I Live” your song brings that thru loud and clear. thank you
Lisa says
“It’s How you Live” is a song reminding us how our actions speak louder than words to our children; our personal legacy in the Lord to them. It touches my heart because I’m not always living in the moment-where my loved ones are. I need that reminder.
And I would like to learn more on leaving a legacy; I would really enjoy a copy of your conference talk!
Peace be with you,
Lisa

Renee thanks for your great blog. It is a blessing to me and speaks to my heart. It is a great reminder of what is important at Christmas time and all through the year. Christ should be the focus and not all the gifts and the hurried pace of life. God bless you.

Hi Renee!
I was thrilled to find your blog and read about your life, family and ministry. I actually left you a long, newsy comment at the post about your decision to adopt from Ethiopia. It’s been a long time since we were in touch at Forest Hill– and it’s great to catch up via the Internet!
God bless!
