A Little Love Goes a Long Way!

Welcome friends! If you are found your way here through my Encouragement for Today devotion, I’m so glad you stopped by. When she wrote The Husband Project, her goal was simple: create 21 simple, and inexpensive projects for women who wanted to bless their husband. {I love simple!}

In her book, The Husband Project, my oh-so-fun friend and author Kathi Lipp helps us do everything we can to love on our man –  from planning a guy-date to getting him a pint of his favorite Ben & Jerry’s. And I loved hearing how one of the most effective “Projects” was also the simplest: Write him some Post-it Note sized encouragement.

Post-It Note Challenge – Write Something Fun or Flirty for Your Man!

Are you ready to show your man a little love today? If so, here are your instructions:

  1. Grab a Post-it
  2. Write something, fun, flirty, or a little scandalous on it {we give you permission…}
  3. Put that Post-it somewhere where only HE will find it

It can be words of encouragement, something sweet or flirty and so on. Leave the post it where only he will find it. It can be in his briefcase, wallet, on his car steering wheel, underwear drawer, tool box, whatever he is going to open or use today. Below, Kathi has listed 21 ideas to get you started thinking. If you need to, use one from the list below. OR make up your own Post-It Love note – cause a little LOVE goes a long way.

  1. I’m praying for you today.
  2. Those jeans are really working for you…
  3. I love you.
  4. You are the best dad!
  5. You’re the kind of husband that makes the other wives jealous.
  6. You rock my world!
  7. Can’t wait to see you tonight – meet me upstairs…
  8. Thanks for working hard to provide for us. I appreciate all that you do.
  9. You make me feel beautiful.
  10. I thank God for you every day.
  11. How did I get so lucky, being married to a guy like you?
  12. You’re great!
  13. You make every day more fun.
  14. Have a great day.
  15. You’re hot!
  16. I feel so safe with you.
  17. Smart and good looking – I’ve got the whole package in you!
  18. You can be very distracting, you know…
  19. Our kids are so blessed to have a dad like you.
  20. That smile I wear – it is all because of you.
  21. God have blessed me in big ways by letting me be your wife.

Remember, you have more power than you know to change the direction of your man’s day.

So go grab that Post-it and put a little love in his day, cause a little LOVE goes a long way!

  9. My sweet hubby works in ND 4 to 5 weeks at a time and this Valentines day he’ll be there and not here so I’ll have to text him his post it which would say: You are the peanut butter that completes my jelly….;)

  17. I’ve never read your book, but my husband and I have done this for a long time. We would find them and stick them to the door facing around our bathroom door to read every day, until the door frame got filled up and then we put them all over the walls. So, our bathroom is a private love letter between the two of us, plaster in a multi-colored wallpaper of post-it notes!

  18. This is very similar to something my husband and I do. We have a picture frame that says, “I love you because…” that we leave little notes on with a dry erase marker. My last note said, ” I thank God for you every day.”

  20. My best friend just told me about this book yesterday – the fact that you’re giving it away must be God’s influence saying that I need to read this book!

    Thank you for getting (daughter) up and going this morning. I really appreciate even the smallest things, and need to tell you that more often. I love you!
