Thanks for stopping by! Oh how I wish we could visit on my front porch where we could get to know each other in real life while sipping on tea or some yummy coffee with our favorite flavored creamers! I’m a pumpkin-spiced girl! How about you?
In case this is your first time here, I thought I’d share a little bit about me: I’m a work-at-home ministry leader, author and mom’preneur who spends a couple days a week drinking coffee, running errands, doing laundry and all the things of being a mom and wife. And the rest of my days, you’ll find me at my computer serving Jesus and His girls online, writing words for blogs and books, sharing life and a few of the lessons I’m learning along the way with my social media communities, or connecting and collaborating with amazing event leaders.
I’ve written three books: A Confident Heart, the 60-Days To Stop Doubting Yourself Confident Heart Devotional and the Come to Me journal.
My favorite place to be is with my family in the mountains or on the lake. I love reading books, watching Hallmark movies and playing board games. I married my best friend 25 years ago, and we love doing life, ministry and parenting together. We have three kids + one daughter-in-love. Our son Josh (23) and his wife Brandi got married in May 2018, our son Andrew (20) is a junior in college and our daughter Aster (10), who we adopted from Ethiopia when she was 10 months old.
My official bio says I’m a best-selling author, national conference speaker, former executive director and radio co-host with Proverbs 31 Ministries and a writer for (in)Courage, a division of DaySpring. I have a degree in Marketing and Psychology, and love both of them still! In 1995, our family moved to Charlotte, NC and I became part of Proverbs 31 Ministries when it was a tiny newsletter for stay-at-home moms. It was amazing to be part of what God was doing and helping it to grow into an international ministry while serving in leadership with some of my closest friends, for over 20 years. In fall 2016, I transitioned out of full time ministry with P31 and into a new season of slowing down, writing my next book and being more present at home with our daughter who has special needs and developmental delays. While I was with P31, my roles varied over the years, but some of my favorites included serving for several years as Executive Director and Senior Editor of Encouragement for Today devotions, ten years as radio co-host, and executive director of radio, speaker team and social media for a few years, too.
My spiritual passion is to equip women, moms, college and teen girls to overcome their doubts and discover their God-given purpose, gifts, and potential, roles and relationships—and empower them with courage and confidence to make a difference right where they are, with what they already have
My professional passions include content development, collaboration, coaching and marketing strategy. I love working with non-profit ministries, small businesses, and Christian authors, and ministry-life and business coaching as my schedule allows.
If you could use an encourager, mentor or ministry-life coach, be sure to sign up for my email updates. I promise not to share your email or fill your inbox! I’ll just send a note of encouragement your way every once in a while!
