Thanks for stopping by! Oh how I wish we could visit on my real-life front porch. I’d invite you to sit down and stay awhile so we could sip on ice water with lemon slices or coffee with pumpkin spice creamer!
In case this is your first time to visit, here’s a little bit about me: I’m a work-at-home ministry leader, author and mom’preneur who spends some days drinking coffee, running errands, doing laundry, and all the things of parenting and marriage. Other days I’m at my computer serving Jesus and his girls online, writing words for blogs and books, and connecting with the amazing women and men I get to partner with for my speaking events each year.
I’ve written three books: A Confident Heart, the 60-Days To Stop Doubting Yourself Confident Heart Devotional and Come to Me journal.
My favorite place to be is with my family in the mountains or in a boat on the lake. I love reading books, watching Hallmark movies and playing board games. I got to marry my best friend 25 years ago, and we love doing life, ministry and parenting together. We have three children + one daughter-in-love. Our son Josh just got married in May 2018, our second son Andrew is a junior in college and our daughter Aster, who we adopted from Ethiopia when she was a baby, is about to turn 10!
My official bio says I’m a best-selling author, national conference speaker, former executive director and radio co-host with Proverbs 31 Ministries and writer for (in)Courage, a division of DaySpring. I have a degree in Marketing and Psychology, which equipped me for the amazing roles I got to fulfill at Proverbs 31 Ministries. I joined P31 in 1995 when it was a tiny newsletter for stay-at-home moms and got to help it grow into an international ministry while serving in leadership for over 20 years with some of my closest friends. In fall 2016, I transitioned out of full time ministry with Proverbs 31 and into a new season of slowing down, writing my next book and being more present at home with our daughter who has special needs and developmental delays. While I was with P31, my roles varied over the years, but some of my favorites included serving for several years as Executive Director and Senior Editor of Encouragement for Today devotions, ten years as radio co-host, and executive director of radio, speaker team and social media for a few years, too.
My professional passions include collaboration, content development, ministry-life coaching and marketing strategy. I love working with ministries, small-businesses with a story, and personal brands that are relationship focused. I do some business and ministry-life coaching and serve a limited number of clients as a consultant each year.
My spiritual passion is to equip and empower women just like you, by helping them discover and embrace
their God-given gifts and potential, roles and relationships, assignments and callings with courage and confidence to make a difference right where they are — with what they already have!
If you could use an encourager, mentor or ministry-life coach, be sure to sign up for my email updates. I promise not to share your email or fill your inbox! I’ll just send a note of encouragement your way every once in a while!
