I have enjoyed your book, A Confident Heart! I want to start a Bible study on this with our women in January 2020.
Is there a work bool that goes along with the DVD or do the women need to order the book?
December 5, 2019 at 1:43 am
Hi Christine! Im excited to hear you’ll be leading a group through A Confident Heart. The DVD doesn’t have a workbook. Each session is a mini-teaching to build on content in the chapters and to help the women connect more personally to me and to each other, and prompt some extra discussions. So, all that the women will need is a copy of the book. I just said a prayer for you and the women who will join you!

Hello Renee ~
I wanted you to know that we are doing a small group with your book, “The Confident Heart” beginning tomorrow evening. I have had a burden to start a small group for women who are new in your faith. We have been meeting for about a year and this fall will do your study. Would you please pray for this group as we all continue to grow in our walk with Jesus.

I have a question. I wanted to use your videos for a bible study for my women’s group via Right Now Media, however, I just noticed there are no study questions online. Are there bible study group discussion questions in the book? Or can you share your emails that you used with scripture readings for the study you did with your material online?

My name is Pam Greene. My husband, Patrick, and I live in Atlanta, Georgia and just recently launched a new e-commerce clothing business called Freedom Cotton. We offer faith based t-shirts to encourage Jesus Followers and non-believers as well. With e-commerce businesses popping up across the country, proving there is a market for consumers wanting to shop online, we decided to embark.
I am so impressed how you are serving God and blessing others. I would love for you to look at our website and do a post on us on your blog. We are brand new and need help getting the word out about Freedom Cotton. Our website is FreedomCotton.com. Please let us know if you would be interested in doing a post and be willing to promote us! And, God!
Thanks for your time and consideration,

Hello, my name is Sheryl Chapin. I just recently moved to the Charlotte area. Trying to find my footing, praying that I would find community here soon then went for my morning walk I listened to The Happy Half hour with Jamie Ivey and your interview came up – what a great God we serve that someone from my new are would be speaking. I would love to connect, though I am sure you are so busy. If you have suggestions on churches in the area, bible studies etc. Hope to hear from you soon, Sheryl

Hey Shery! I am sorry I’m just now seeing your note. Welcome to Charlotte!! We’ve been here 22 years and love it. We currently live in the farthest southern part of Mecklenburg county but we’re about to move toward Lake Norman so I’ll be finding my footing again soon too. We attend Mosaic Church in Huntersville, but there are so many wonderful churches in all parts of the city. Here are a few others i’d recommend in the south part of CLT: Carmel Baptist, Transformation, Hope Community, and Five Stones.

Swope is an unusual name… unless you live in Zanesville of course. My grandmother’s married name was Nellie Swope. Might we be related?

We are in North Carolina, but my husband is from Pennsylvania. Not sure if there is a connection or not but it’s nice to meet you!

Hi Renee, I wanted to let you know that I so appreciate the work you have been doing to help other women learn to live in confidence. I am rereading “A Confident Heart” which I read when I first went to college, and am reading again now that I’ve finished college and am living in a new city. I just read Chapter 4, where you talk about God using your past to heal you and to bring hope to others. Thank-you for listening to His call. Thank-you for sharing your story with us. There have been so many times I have read something from your experience and realized I wasn’t alone in my fears and that I could get out of it, just like you did. I know that it’s an ongoing process for you as it is for me, but thank-you so much for sharing your story. It has made a HUGE difference in my life – learning to trust God and rely on His love. Thank-you so much for blessing all of us.
Wow Meghan, Im catching up on comments I had missed and your note was such a sweet encouragement to me this morning. Praying for each truth to sink into the deepest places of your heart! And that you’ll keep re-reading the book. I know the words God gave me to share are words I need to read and remember, again and again.

I was given a list of “When you say, God says” from a woman I know and when I saw it was out of A Confident Heart, I checked your book out of the library. Most recently I was so impressed with the Scripture you give in response to “stinking thinking” or however you want to express it, after reading page 83, I decided I wanted a copy of A Confident Heart for keeps!

I love that you got a copy to keep! Thank you for sharing that story with me. 🙂

I saw you speak last night, February 8, 2017 at Church Alive in Fuquay Varina, NC. Your story of your son going through his atheist phase really hit home for me as my 17 year old daughter less than 10 days ago. Told me she had something serious to talk to me about and she wants to practice Buddhism and she wasn’t sure that she believed in GOD (anymore) and she feels like an outsider when she’s in church. I told her ok and we would expire Buddhism together but she is still expected to attend our Baptist regular church services. Although, I can also relate to the cold Darth Vader attitude and am now considering letting her miss our Baptist church services. It does block my praise and worship when such an attitude is present throughout service.
Thanks so much for your encouragement and message!

Hi Renee, We wanted to let you know we featured your blog post entitled “When I Feel Like I Don’t Measure Up” on our blog. We launched our blog called Texting The Truth a few months ago where we hope to bring light and perspective to motherhood. Our posts are written as text message conversations offering grace and truth as well as humor.
After the text message, we have a section called Truth to Inhale where we list several resources about the subject. For this particular text conversation we were discussing comparison and so we listed your blog post as a place moms could go for further reading. We wanted to let you know and would love for you to visit our blog to see it listed. And if you feel inclined we would love for you to share the love with your mom friends. Thank you for sharing your voice with the world, and especially moms like us.

I see on your speaking schedule that you will be in Lafayette, LA on April 7-8, 2017. I tried going to the event website link to find out more information but it’s not working. I would REALLY like to attend that conference but can’t seem to find any information online about it when I search. All I could find is Crossroads Church site but it doesn’t mention the conference. Could you please have someone send me information if this is an open event? I live in Zachary, LA and attend Fellowship Church but would absolutely LOVE to make the drive over to Lafayette and stay for the conference. It’s only about an hour & half from here. My phone #225-505-0602 or my email is email@example.com.
P.S. I read your book “A Confident Heart” about 10 months ago and now am participating in the devotional group study. I really enjoyed your video blog on Sunday and looking forward to more! I hope Aster did well this morning and will do well again for you all this weekend. God Bless y’all!!

Renee, Good morning! Praising God in this time of worldy craziness. I just read your poem, “Manger of My Heart” and would like to make a copy to send to the six children I sponsor through Compassion International (2 financially & 4 correspondence only). There is an 18 year old girl and 8 year body in the Dominican Republic, a 10 year old girl in Tanzania, an 8 year old girl in Indonesia, and an 11 year old and 8 year old boys in Kenya. Your poem really touched my heart, as I’m sure it will there’s. Thank you.

Oh my – I need more coffee! :). It’s an 8 year old boy (not body) in the DR and there’s should be theirs. Sometimes I can’t believe I used to tutor English as a Second Language – lol!

My next book “Women Who Move Mountains: Praying with Confidence, Boldness, and Grace” is coming out on May 2. Would you like Bethany House Publishers to send you a Galley Proof so that you can endorse? If so, I need your address.
