I just moved to NC from AL and would LOVE to come to this event. I have been attending the EWomen in Pensacola for years. And I LOVE Lysa so much. Her testimony is so real to me because it speaks to situations that I have endured with my children. God spoke to me so clearly to me two years ago through her testimony and it brought me to me knees literally in a sea of tears. It was one of the most powerful experiences that I have EVER had. I did not grow up in church but Proverbs 31 Ministries has been used by God in more ways than I can say in this comment. And even if I don’t win the tickets I want to say THANK YOU for allowing God to use you to speak to young women such as myself. It is a wonderful thing to share your life stories with others. I pray that I can do the same in the future. Thanks again! 🙂

  8. I would love to win these tickets. I actually live in Pensacola ,Fl but I am heading to North Carolina on the 17th to visit my daughter who had been in the hospital for almost. 3 weeks and she gave birth to her daughter Monday the 8th. Her daughter was 3lbs 2 oz and only 29 weeks and 4 days old. This would be a wonderful time to take my daughter to fellowship and strengthen her relationship with God . I attended WOF several several years ago in Orlando and I will never forget that experience. It has helped me through alot, and I have been wanting to take my daughter to a WOF event and was actually looking into this one, but due to the issues that arrose finances were not there to buy tickets. But who ever wins I know they will be blessed.

I live in columbia,sc and to receive these tickets would be such a blessing. i’ve been struggling in my
Walk with the Lord for awhile & this would be an awesome opportunity to get in his presence & hear from some godly women. Our pastor preached a message on the word today and how important it is to make it a priority and that is exactly what I aim to start doing instead of making excuses or busying/distracting myself with too many earthly things. Renee, I have read and love your confidant woman book! I have lysa’s book made to crave & I am looking forward to hopefully starting a book study soon with some other ladies who struggle with eating & weight issues. Thank you for your consideration. May God bless you and proverbs 31 ministries. -stephanie reely

  19. Your conference sounds like just what I need.. I’ve shared several times during your gifeaways my story but this conference touched me more. Last Oct. I had two surgeries within two weeks that would just not heal. It was my 17 th surgery in the last 10 years that won’t heal. Two weeks ago I had another comp;ication surgery caused because of the same thing. Over the surgeries the last 10 years that was caused by me having a gastric bypass that went bad. I have been on life support in a coma and barely survived that. Anyway these last 3 surgeries have really took their toll on me. I used to be real actively involved in community services but now I’m having panic and anxiety where I don’t want to leave the house. I think coming to your conference could get me back on the right track or at leeast headed toward that way.I’m very thankful to still be here which means God still has a purpose for me Life has just been so hard these last 10 years I pray that if God’s answer is in this he’ll let me go and open my eyes. Thanks, Sharon

But I wish for God’s will in this more than my own. He so knows what we need so much more than we know ourselves. He has so helped me. When I needed it most he sent me your devotionals Renee. Then I bought your book and felt like you had walked in my shoes. I have recommened it to others so they can reap the benefits. God has help out there no matter what we need. He is so faithful. Well I had better go for now. I hope everyone has a great day and whoever wins Congratulations and I love you. Always trust God and no matter what you go through remember He will never leave you. You might think you can’t feel Him but whether you can or not He is still there. Sometimes clouds of darkness try to block Him but they can’t. I have found Him to be faithful. God bless you all.

Thank you for your encouraging words. Some days that is all that keeps me focused.
    God Bless You!

  63. Hi Renee. I would feel so blessed to receive the tickets. I have read all the previous comments and know that there are so many deserving women of faith! Also, so many of us that are going through so much. I live in Charlotte and love the community here. I see so much desire for God and people seeking Him. My family is living through an incredible storm. We have closed 2 businesses in the past 5 years, My husband has been laid off from a job last year and is now working for $10 and hour trying to support a family of 6. Our home of 10 years is ready to be be taken and we have no where to go if that happens. I am blessed to be a member of a beautiful church that has supported us and given us strength and peace. I know that we will be OK no matter what – “Your love, O Lord, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies. Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the great deep. O Lord, your preserve both man and beast, How priceless is your unfailing love!” Psalm 36 5-7. How can I worry when I have words like that to tell me that I will be OK!? Yes, we may lose our house but our family will remain whole and God will direct us just as He has each and every day. The tickets to this conference would be an amazing gift. Thank YOU for YOUR amazing gift each time you send your email out!

  64. susan beauford says:

    I am a mighty WOF!!!
I am involved in a women’s christian rehab in Belton, SC and get to see
God’s miracles everyday. I am one of them myself. I Would love to come to conference and get
recharged to come back and share with all my sisters.

  65. Renee,

I heard something on Klove, about your friend asking you how she could pray for you…..then you mentioned that you would like to pray for others. It said go to Proverbs31 and click on you….however the only link that I could find to reach you was your blog…and even there I didn’t find a way to email you. So a comment will have to do…sorry it is not exactly relevant to this post.

I struggle with feeling that others are judging me, whether they really are or not. I know part of it is my social anxiety disorder, and part is the Borderline Personality Disorder. But beyond that truth is, it’s really annoying, because it could be a perceived judgement by others and not real. But it still causes me emotional torment. I know that what people think isn’t supposed to matter. I KNOW that. But truthfully, it does matter, not as much as it used to, but I still have a hard time being around other people because of this. All it takes to ruin an interaction is the perception that I don’t measure up, or that they think less of me.

  66. I know everyone on this post wants these tickets including me but I hope whomever you decide it will be the Holy Spirit leading you to the right person! I enjoy your blogs and uplifting stories! If I win these tickets there is a good friend I would like to in hopes we can have a renewed experience together! We definitely need one as our friendship has gone through a lot of ups and downs. But God is faithful so I thank you for such a great event for the Charlotte area! Thanks!

  67. Renee: Thank you so much for this offer. I have been greatly blessed by A Confident Heart and plan to use it to help women in crisis whom I hope to help through a new nonprofit legal advocacy and education ministry I’m starting in Central Virginia. You’ve helped lead me to Christine Caine’s ministry and to her book Undaunted, which I have absolutely devoured. I bought a copy for my business partner and we see her book as our guideline for our new ministry. The fact that she will be a speaker in Charlotte is an absolute God appointment for us–He keeps putting her in our path and the chance to meet her in person would be unbelievably phenomenal. We are just starting off as a nonprofit and my partner is on a very limited fixed income until we get started, so our budget doesn’t allow for buying tickets. We are close enough to drive down to Charlotte for the weekend and these tickets would truly be a Godsend for us and for the women we hope to serve. God bless your ministry.

    Mary M.

  68. Kimberli Hair says:

All the previous stories are fantastic and mine would fail if I were to compare.
So, I REALLY just need a girl’s weekend away from my hubbins and kiddos. He’s been traveling for 7 weeks all over the sandbox fixing up our sailors, soldiers and whomever else needs him. This momma needs a break!

  69. Karlyn Carder says:

    Hello Renee,

I heard your radio broadcast about how you daughter was diagnosed with Apraxia. My daughter was also diagnosed in 1997 I would love to talk to you personal and pray with you if that is possible.

  70. Toni Haefs says:

I would love to come visit all the way from Le Mars, Iowa. Renee you are coming to visit us at our Compel Conference next year. So excited to finish up my OBS “Unglued” and read “The Confident Heart” to prepare myself for your coming! Pick ME!

  71. Terri Prosser says:

Hi Renee- I live in York SC and my prayer partner, Joanne lives in Fort Mill so we are close to Charlotte! We both had tickets to attend the Beth Moore conference in Charleston this past September, but she could not go at the last minute and I ended up attending by myself. She was very disappointed, so I would love to win these tickets to give to her. She has been an amazing friend and prayer warrior and I would love to surprise her with the tickets!

  72. Jody Winfield says:

I am in a famine season in my l ife right now and would love to attend. It would mean so much to me and I know it would be so encouraging to me. My birthday is Monday and would also make a great birthday gift. Thank you so much for your consideration. God Bless!!!

  73. Rene,
I was driving home and was listening to KLOVE here in RI and heard your story of your child with apraxia. My son also had that pretty bad, now he is cured, doing great in school, please check this into this Dr’s program, he is awesome to say the least…HE was a GOD send to us and I hope he can be to you as well..
    In Christ..

  74. Amber Byler says:

I heard your segment on K-Love about your daughter having apraxia. My son is almost 4 years old and has speech delay. J has been going to therapy for 2 years now recieving speech, ot, pt and now he goes to a developemental preschool. We have been fighting to get him diagnoses for about a year now. J has all the signs of High Functioning Autism. The reason I am writing you is I feel they same way that you did when you poured your heart out to the lady in they church foyer. We are just at a loss can’t really take him anywhere withouth major meltdowns. People don’t understand we do our best but sometimes we feel like we are failures. We go in November for Genetic Testing to hopefully find somethings out. All we want is answers. J is a precious little boy and we love him so very much. We just want to do everything we can to make his life better. Thank You for sharing your story and I pray that you find new ways to communicate with your daughter. My J spent the first two years of his life non-verbal but now since he has been is speech it has gotten easier but he is still way behind a so called normal 4 year old.

  75. Megan McCormick says:

Renee, I heard your segment on K-Love this morning regarding praying for one another. Would you please pray for my grandaddy, Billy Ray. We just recently found out that he has cancer, and he only has 6 months to a year to live. While he believes in God, I’m not certain that he is truly saved. Please pray for his salvation. I will also be praying for your daughter. Thank you so much. I greatly appreciate it.

  76. Ginny Kroenke says:

I’m sitting in my class room grading papers at 9:00 p.m. I am listening to KLOVE as always, and your segment came on. Tears filled my eyes, it brought back a flood of the pain I too felt 12 years ago when I too found out that my daughter had apraxia or dyspraxia. I never comment on people’s blogs usually because I just don’t have the time. But tonight my heart is burdened to share with you my story, especially since you don’t hear of this condition a whole lot in small children. My daughter, Debby didn’t speak until she was 4 years old, and then the speech was hard to understand and it was only a few words i.e. mom, dad, more, please. We taught a lot of sign language but she has speech and motor apraxia which also affects her motor skills and soemtimes teaching sign language was challenging.
They told me she may not ever be able to carry on a conversation the way you and I do and she may never be able to read or write, or it would be extremely frustrating and difficult for her. My heart was broken and a part of me wandered if my child was broken. She was my oldest and I experienced a great loss and began a grieving process. In that God touched my heart in a way that changed my life as a mom forever, he convicted me first, that dedicating my child to him is not a one day thing when they are a baby but a daily thing each every day giving them back like Abraham did when Isaac was tied to an alter and God gave him a ram stuck in thicket. I called out to the Lord to please release my daughter from the alter and to bless her to take her life and make it something. Then a small still voice spoke to my heart. Ginny, I created her I knew her while she was in your womb and I have a plan for her to work things together for good, not for evil.
Three weeks later she came home from speech threrapy and said “Mama my name is Debby” I began to weap calling my husband he could hardly understand me but rejoiced with me when he finally did. It has been and still is a journey. Sometimes her speech would cause her to get easily frustrated and cause her to have melt downs beause communicating was difficult.
GOD is good… she is now 16, she won’t quit talking she tells me word for word everything that happens in her youth group and at school. She has some other disabilities and is in special ed but when she enetered high school she told the school counselor that she did not want a high school certificate (which is for students who can’t qualify to graduate with the credits that the average student would need in order to graduate.) she wanted a diploma because she is going to be a special education teacher.
The counselor responded,” it won’t be easy and it will take a lot of work.”
With out me or my husband saying anything she responded “That’s okay, nothing is easy for me, I have had to work harder all my life. I wanted to shout PRAISE GOD, this is YOUR child, not mine Jesus, because I gave her back to you. Though I didn’t see it till many years later God has given me my ram in the thicket. Not the way I wanted it or as soon or maybe as easy but he gave it in his time, and I pray he will do the same for you and your family. I am praying for you. I hope this has been an encouragement to you.
“Some people look at things the way they are and cry WHY? But I want you to look at things and see what they could be and ask, WHY NOT?” Patricia Polacco
