When You Need A New Script

If there’s one thing that throws me into a ditch of self-doubt and discouragement, it’s when I act ugly with the ones I love.

Today, I’ve asked my amazing friend Lysa, who is also president of Proverbs 31 Ministries, to share how “losing it” with her loved ones effects her. It’s something she talks about in her New York Times Best-selling book, Unglued,

__________________

I’m sad because of the way I acted today. Disappointed in my lack of self-control. And the more I relive my emotionally driven tirade, the more my brain refuses sleep.

I have to figure this out. What is my problem? Why can’t I seem to control my reactions?

I stuff. I explode. And I don’t know how to get a handle on this. But God help me if I don’t get a handle on this. I will destroy the relationships I value most and weave into my life permanent threads of short-temperedness, shame, fear, and frustration.

Is that what I really want? Do I want my headstone to read, “Well, on the days she was nice she was really nice. But on the days she wasn’t, rest assured, hell hath no fury like the woman who lies beneath the ground right here”?

No. That’s not what I want. Not at all. I don’t want the script of my life to be written that way.

So, at 2:08 a.m., I vow to do better tomorrow. But better proves illusive and my vows wear thin in the face of daily annoyances and other unpleasant realities. Tears slip, and I’m worn out from trying. Always trying.

I feel broken. Unglued, actually. I have vowed to do better at 2:08 a.m. and 8:14 a.m. and 3:37 p.m. and 9:49 p.m. and many other minutes in between. So why aren’t things getting better? Why aren’t my reactions tamer?

I know what it’s like to praise God one minute and in the next minute yell and scream at my child—and then to feel both the burden of my destructive behavior and the shame of my powerlessness to stop it.

The emotional demands keep on coming. Unrelenting insecurity. Wondering if anyone appreciates me. Feeling tired, stressed, and hormonal.

Feeling unglued is really all I’ve ever known. And I’m starting to wonder if maybe it’s all I’ll ever be.

Those were the defeating thoughts I couldn’t escape. Maybe you can relate. If you relate to my hurt, I pray you will also relate to my hope.

While unglued is all I’ve really known, I believe that with God’s help, today my life can be different. That’s my personal revelation of hope.

Today, I’d like to invite you to take the you the “Unglued Challenge” for the next 5 days {you can find out more below and enter Renee’s giveaway}. In my 5-days To Better Reactions challenge, you’ll find encouragement and a safe place to talk about our tendencies to stuff, explode, or react somewhere in between.

I am both a stuffer and an exploder. And I’ve experienced God’s tender mercies and grace given so many times it almost seems scandalous. How can our God be so patient? I don’t know. But He is.

Today, He’s offering us the fresh start our souls desperately need. Isaiah 41:13 promises He will help us. We can be different. A slate wiped clean. A page crisp-white. A chance to start rewriting the old scripts of past failures.

For me. For you. Together. We can do this.

Prayer: God, thank You that this is a new twenty-four hours. Today, I want to believe I can start writing a new script for my life. Help me to overcome the disbelief I have from my past failures. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Thought for the Day: While feeling unglued is all I’ve really known, today my life can be different.

Comments

  1. I signed up for the challenge. I would like to win because I think this would be a great study to do with the women’s group that I am in.

  2. P. S. I just saw the segment titled “I am the boss of my emotions!” That’s another reason I would like to win, and also because it’s really only 5:35 AM and no one else is even awake yet!

  3. LOL @ Jeanine…..I thought “surely, I’m the only one awake at this hour”!

Anyway, I’d like to win because I can relate to ALL of the post above, especially “If there’s one thing that throws me into a ditch of self-doubt and discouragement, it’s when I act ugly with the ones I love.” It’s like Lysa knows my heart, portraying it via the post above.

I am signing up for the challenge too!

Wow, what an email opened so early in the morn!!! I love these Holy Spirit moments xoxo

  4. Kathy Miller says:

I have the book and I am looking forward to reading it. I think my husband will enjoy it too. We both read Lysa Terkeurst’s “Made to Crave”. I already enjoyed the 5 days of emails as well! And I’m going to tape those Today shows so I can watch her. 2 more books and the videos would be cool – good for a small group to have a study together.

  5. I just signed up for the 5 day challenge and would love to win a book to share with a friend who feels entirely unglued right now and could sure use some help. Besides her I could also use some help! It would be a great book to do a bible study with!

  6. I just signed up for the challenge & day 1 is already in my email inbox! Great start to a Sunday morn!

PS – the link above titled “sign up here” for the 5-day challenge takes you to a page to purchase Unglued resources, instead of enabling challenge sign-up. I found the right link after googling it.

  7. We have been reading your book in our small group, thank you for making me feel normal and showing the ways God helps us over come these. We do not have the video and this would be great addition to our study and I love to gift the books to some girlfriends. Blessings!

    • Thanks for posting this Jennie! It’s encouraging to know that I CAN feel normal & that are ways God can help us overcome these. It’s been this way for so long, I didn’t know these were possible.

  8. i signed up for the 5 day challenge.

  9. I shared an invite on my Facebook page!

  10. I signed up – can identify with the fatigue of always trying and failing.

  11. I signed up for the challenge…I REALLY need this.

  12. I shared this on facebook. I hope my friends join too.

  13. Cristy Carnes says:

I shared on FB and hope all my friends check out what a great blog this is!

  14. Cristy Carnes says:

I can’t figure out how to sign up for the challenge. The link takes me to a site to purchase the book instead.

  15. Cristy Carnes says:

Id like to win so I can learn some ways to better control my emotions. Over the last month I have had many bad things happen and I haven’t done so well at managing those feelings and emotions. I have many important people in my life and they shouldn’t have to suffer my faults.

  16. Here is what I posted on my Facebook page:

“Love this verse! Renee Swope and her book A Confident Heart is a must read for women. I have not read Unglued-Making Wise Choises in the Midst of Raw Emotions by Lysa TerKeurst, but have done her 5-day challenge of how to manage our reactions when something “goes wrong”. The challenge was awesome!!!! Give it a try ladies!”

I also put Lysa’s web address so that the 5-day challenge could be easily accessible to anyone who wanted to give it a try!

I would love to have the book titled Unglued! I am a leader of a Bible Study and would love to read this book to see if it would be a good fit for my group. We used A Confident Heart as a Bible Study and thoroughly enjoyed it. That study changed our lives! It truly taught us to be confident in who we are and what we’ve been through as women. I’m hoping that Unglued may be another one of those books that helps us all continue to trust God in all areas of our lives as a wife, a mother, a friend, a daughter, an employee, a leader, a follower of Jesus, etc. Thank you again Renee for leading us to have confidence in ourselves as well as in God. Lysa’s book, Unglued, can only add more knowledge and growth, even if it’s just for me and not my Bible Study group. I would love to read it!!!!

  17. I am doing this now, along with A Confident Heart. There are so many friends I’d like to gather and share with! I’m thinking we need to get a place and have a winter Bible Study.

  18. I pinned this!

  19. I tweeted this!

  20. I shared this on Facebook!

  21. I emailed this to two friends!

  22. I signed up for the 5 day challenge!

  23. I’m certainly watching Lysa on TV! TiVO!

  24. I’m certainly watching Lysa on TV!

  25. I signed up for the 5 day challenge. I read the words and thought wow that sounds just like me. I try to hold in my anger but then after awhile it erupts just like a volcano. The guilt that follows is horrible but the knowledge of the pain that I’ve caused to the ones who received my “lava” is beyond horrific. It isn’t fair to them. I would love to find a way to chanel my emotions and concerns. That way I can use my words in a better way to help all of us grow without resentment or guilt. Through growth with God, He will be able to use us more and we will be able to allow His light to shine through us!

  26. I just finished the Melissa Taylor’s book study of this book. It was AMAZING! I am on the 5 day challenge. If I won a book, I would LOVE to give it to someone who can’t afford it! <3

  27. I can identify with Lysa. I certainly would have had a sarcastic come-back if someone said to me, “Is it too much to ask for a clean towel?” However….in addition to Lysa’s book, a particular blog I came across might also help to understand what is going on behind the scenes. I found it informative and am passing it along.

    http://annaldavis.net/2012/10/30/through-arid-places-seek-and-destroy/

When you look at it in terms of a virus, you can see how it spreads and who is the perpetrator. After all, satan just has to strike the match and we are ready kindling for a big fire. Anna Davis is doing a four part series on this that is well worth reading. Understanding it from this perspective also helps blow out the match!

  28. I signed up for the challenge, bought the book last month….and hoping the you will have another “online”
book study that I can participate in this time. Also planning to set up my dvr to record Lysa tomorrow and Tues so I won’t forget about it. Thanks!!!!

  29. Whoops! Here is the link to part I of Anna Davis’ post. It always helps to start on page one! I had posted the link to the last of the series instead of the first. So below is the first.

    http://annaldavis.net/2012/10/15/through-arid-places-seeking-rest/

  30. Just signed up for the challenge! I’m ready to get on board!!!

  31. I shared on Facebook

  32. Forwarded on to my small group ladies from church

  33. Just yesterday I was at home with my kids & something happened where I blew up at them. Ended up going to church last night instead of this morning as I felt we all needed God at that moment. Looking forward to the helpful hints to diffuse my short circuit during troubled times. Thanks for letting me know I’m not alone in this. Hoping to glean much from the 5 day challenge. Will be DVR’ing the shows as I work during the day.

  34. I signed up for the 5 day challenge because what Lysa describes is what I live on and off. I have days of good and then days of horrible. I stress and fear and then I yell and scream at my husband and kids. I want to win because I need to read this book and then I want to share it with some women in my church!

  35. Wow I’m psyched. Signed up for the 5 day challenge. I clicked on the link that said “The Today Show” but couldn’t find any info on Lysa’s interview. It says 9am on Mon and 10am on Tues, but what time zone is that in?

  36. Darlene Bartlett says:

I have joined the challenge and shared on facebook..As a TBI survivor, I have problems with controlling many emotions, and have tried to constantly keep them in check. So pleased with this new book and the challenge of many of God’s strong people in striving to be more of what He wants us to be…My prayer today is for us all to be the People of and For God in this day and hour…

  37. Tweeted but facebook wont share!

  38. Subscribed

  39. Oh you dont know how much I need this book, especially coming into Christmas when things aren’t so merry and bright 🙁

  40. I am signing up for the study and also will purchase the book in the event I do not win a copy. Will share on Facebook as well. This book seems very noteworthy and a help in the way I react to negative situations (rather then respond in a godly way). Love, Kat

  41. Just today I met with a friend who was sharing her struggles with coming unglued with her daughter. And yes, I could relate since I do the same! Then reading this tonight, I know God is trying to get my attention. He is there to help me and give me strength and victory. I shared this link with my friend. I encouraged her to join the challenge. We can keep each other accountable. Thank you Lysa for being open and honest about your struggles.

  42. It’s the days that I try so hard and fail that get me. The sleepness nights, financial stresses, motherly and wifely duites, piled with everyday life wear me down to point that I feel like the world crashes around me. And I take it out on my family, and I hate it! I try harder to do better the next day but I feel like I make even bigger mistakes. Thank you Jesus for grace! I am in a season of learning what grace is and what it means to be forgiven.
Thank you for your encouraging book! I would love to do a study with my MOPS group!

  43. I would love to win this book because I would like to give one to my friend so that both of us can conquer our “Unglued” moments together!!

  44. Brandy Reed says:

I’m up for the challenge … I can do all things threw Christ who strengthens me!

  45. I signed up for the challenge. I cannot tell you how defeated I can feel some days! Definitely getting the book on iBook as well!

  46. I signed up !! I need two challenges !!

  47. I purchased the book and look forward to reading it! This excerpt so resonates with me!

  48. I just signed up for the 5-day challenge!

  49. I tweeted the post!

  50. Love, love live you Ladies! I shared and will continue to because I am loving what I am hearing about from others who have read it! Wish we could afford it this year, but if not, then soon. Keep being amazing! Love watching your ministry grow. You make this look easy even though i know its far from. It’s a Banner Year 😉 keep at it!

  51. I won’t be home during the Today segments, but will DVR them. So excited that Lysa has the opportunity to share her ministry in front of a national audience. I want to win because I think this will be a perfect study to share with the ladies in our community groups. It’s definitely something any woman can relate to no matter the season she is in. Thanks for sharing!

  52. I signed up for the challenge. I would love to have the book to do a study with friends! This topic is much needed to be talked about from the christian women view! Thanks so much for sharing and blessing us to grow!

  53. This book has been on my “must read” list since before it was even released, but with the chaos and busyness of life, I haven’t yet purchased it. I signed up for the 5-day challenge because, after spending some time this evening crying out to God over how bad I felt about how short-tempered I was toward my kids all weekend and begging Him to help me be a better mom, I saw this post in my inbox and knew I needed the challenge. I volunteer at my church as the single moms’ ministry leader, and I think this study would be such a blessing to so many of the moms I work with. I know I could use it.

  54. I did purchase the book! 🙂

  55. I shared on Twitter (https://twitter.com/MamaofaDozen/status/265334679048175616)

    and on my blog: http://wp.me/p97XK-4lz

    and on my FB! 🙂

Why? Because I have been so encouraged and convicted with reading this book, that if I won, I can share with other ladies as well who need this book. What a great resource!

  56. Oh I can so relate to this. I am a walking time bomb it seems only to my best friend… Recently I thought I had lost the friendship because of my episodes… So grateful for this post, will take the challenge and yes enter all drawings for more on this book… I am unable to purchase right now but will add to my wish list. Thanks!!

  57. Mary Beth says:

I am currently in the book study and it is very good – so helpful!

  58. Mary Beth says:

I signed up for the challenge when it first came out and it was awesome.

  59. I was so glad when I clicked on your post for today and saw Isaiah 41:13 at the top of the post. I cannot tell you just how timely a reminder that verse is for me today. And Lysa on the Today show!!!!!!!! WOW! How exciting for her, for you, and for the Proverbs 31 ministry! I’m going to tune in at 9am to watch!

Thank you, ladies, for all you do to encourage, bless, and give guidance based on God’s truth to all of us. I am truly thankful this day for you and this ministry : )

    Sweet Blessings,
    Pam

  63. I signed up for the 5 day challenge…would like to win to further release myself from the ugly strongholds in my life.

  64. Christina says:

Well, currently I learned that I need to look at others as I was looking through God’s eyes and not my own. in doing this i can love and serve others as God has and wants me to. Not to mention what comes from my lips..lol I kinda started challenging myself and praying that God will help me with this matter. I made a lot of changes in myself, family and marriage.
I know I could bring this to the Womens Ministry and challenge them and God come out on top!!
    Praying I win!!
Love All that Proverbs 31 has to offer!!

  65. Jenny Mabe says:

I can’t afford to poo purchase book and tried to sign up for the challenger but didn’t see where to sign up, will try to see from a computer. Also can’t watch her on tv. I would love to win a copy of this study. I really need this study. I need help with this in my life.

  66. I have the book on my kindle, and I would live to win this bundle. I teach a group of ladies on Monday nights and I think this would be great for my ladies. I could give the extra book to someone that can’t afford it. We just finished A Confident Heart a few months ago and several ladies have asked about this book. Also, I want sign up for the challenge but I couldn’t figure out how.

  67. Beth Sheaffer says:

I would love to win this package as my husband and I have been chosen to help lead a new church plant. We have a TON of young families in this church plant! This would be a WONDERFUL study for our young mom’s with many kiddos! 🙂

  68. yanna westmoreland says:

This may be the first Bible Study God actually wrote for me through you, uncanny how this blog post jumped out at me. I would like to win the Grand Prize so I can learn to become Unglued and then share my testimony with others. I am excited to turn on the Today Show and watch Lysa give her personal testimony on mainstream media!

  69. yanna westmoreland says:

I tweeted, facebook and emailed! Now looking for 5 day challenge…

  70. I feel Unglued and don’t like that about myself. I know my husband and three young kids would like it if I was doing better in this area. Plus, I know several others moms in my boat who would benefit. Thanks for the chance!

  71. Tweeted @SharingMorsels

  72. I’ve got the DVR set for the Today Show today and tomorrow. Looking forward to her segments.

  73. Susie Daggyt says:

    I bought the book

  74. Susie Daggett says:

    Bought the ebook

  75. Oh, my gosh. When I read your post today it was like Lysa had glimplse into my life. I have wondered these things for a while now. How is it that I can go to church and Praise God and feel Him so strongly and then when I get home the least little thing sets me off.

i feel like such a hyprocrite sometimes. I don’t like to scream at my kids, but it’s like I can’t help it, the more i try to stop, the more i do it.

What can I do to stop this vicious cycle.

  76. Wow! It looks like I was not the only one that needed to read this devotional (or who wants to win the book ;). Lysa thank you for your honesty and insight into the ugly subject of becoming Unglued. I say this with a smile but it really is anything but funny to “lose it”. The fall out hurts everyone and it feels so defeating as a wife and wife. I prayerfully look forward to the 5 day challange.

  77. So excited that you will be on the Today show to share your book and God’s word. I can’t wait to watch!

  78. Shared with FB friends. I pray that someone is inspired!

  80. Susie Daggett says:

    Watching on the Today show

  81. I shared this post on facebook. I alsoI signed up for the challenge and then got a double treat . I was able to then signed up for the No More Unglued Momma Challenge. Being that I homeschool and surround myself with 5 childen on my best and worst days, I could really use the Grand Prize. Alot of times it’s the ones closest to me that get the blunt of my frustrations when I become flustered with life situations. It like living an unbalanced life and you are a ticking time bomb. My family walks around on egg shells because they never know what might be the trigger to my next outburst. I don’t want my children to mimic my current reactions. So I am expecting the Favour of God to be in full manifestation for this giveaway.

    Be blessed,
    Tiffany

  82. I bought the book for my new Kindle, I’m going to sign up for the 5day challenge and I would love to win the books, dvd and guide so that I can do this study with a few friends… we so need this right now and my budget is very tight… which made the Kindle deal a couple weeks ago even sweeter for me!!!

  83. Kelly Cunningham says:

I just signed up for the 5 day challenge!

  84. Cindy Broaddus says:

I wasn’t finished reading this post when I saw Lisa on the Today show. Lol! I told my husband, “Look, I’m reading her post right now!” Ha ha! Good read. Both my husband and I are stuffers, but a lot of times I’m an exploder towards my children and I’ve had to work very hard everyday to control my emotions and outbursts towards them. I do apologize to them, which is huge. Parenting is daily, minute by minute, always full of grace and mercy. Thank you, Lord!

  85. One thing that is not on my list is remembering what I signed up for and what I didn’t. I rest assured in the system that when I tried to sign up for the 5 day Challenge….I am already on the list. Too much going on in my life to become un-glued. Resting that God is in control and letting HIM be in control of my reactions too.

  86. I would love to win! This really spoke to me because I have been in a slump all week. I am a wife, mother, grandmother, sIster, friend, employee, daughter, daughter-In-Law, you catch my drift! I am the sole caregiver to my 86 year old Mama (with dementia). It’s just difficult sometimes to be all to everyone! 🙂

  87. I am already signed up for the challenge 🙂
WOW, I always feel so awful when I come apart and show my “ugly” to my loved ones.
So need God to step in when it starts to happen. I have gotten better, but still need work <3
Thank you for the chance 🙂

  88. I recently bought Unglued for Kindle. Would love to win this giveaway. Thanks

  89. Signed up for the 5 day challenge and shared on facebook.

  90. I purchased Unglued on my Kindle, and can’t wait to start reading it!

  91. I also got to watch Lysa on the Today Show this morning!! Definitely tuning in tomorrow morning too! 🙂

  92. Oh no!! I missed her on the Today Show today. But I will try to watch her tomorrow 🙂

  93. I just signed up for the 5 day challenge as well 🙂

  94. Dona Haggerty says:

I have been this “Unglued” woman for most of my life. I am 59 years old and the mother of 7 children and 4 grandchildren. I have prayed and prayed so many times about this. I would love to win the book and the dvd and teaching series so that I can use it with the women of my church. (I am the pastors wife.)

  95. Lisa Merrill says:

I would really love to win your book! A few weeks ago I turned 50 years old and I had a long conversation with The Lord telling him how tired I was with not loving myself. My thoughts consisted of self doubt, and low self worth. Then a friend of mine sent me your 5 day challenge. I’ve been reading it faithfully and ask The Lord for his help to change my thoughts now that I’m starting the next half of my life. I want to help other ladies love themselves and with your book and Gods faithfulness I can do all things!!

  96. I signed up for the 5 day challenge! I need this, I have been having too many ‘unglued’ moments lately!! I will be watching Lysa on Kathie Lee & Hoda. I tweeted about this,
    https://twitter.com/leeleeisblessed/status/265498628091691008
Thanks for the chance to win this, Renee!!
    Blessings,
    Lisa

  97. Karen Hanneman says:

I signed up for the challenge – very excited. I NEED this book…just ask my husband and kids! : )

  98. Karen Hanneman says:

Watched Lysa on the Today show – love her!!!

  99. Karen Hanneman says:

Shared on Facebook, want all my friends to know about Lysa’s work!!! : )

  100. This book sounds like so many of us need it. We all have our days like Lisa but with Gods help we can all over come our weak spots. Fast, pray and believe without doubting.

  101. Oh my… do I need this book! 😉 I am having a conflict with my next door neighbor that has been going on for months… and I started it because I exploded. ugh!! I would love to win!

  102. I also signed up for the 5 day challenge!

  103. I just signed up for the five day challenge. I would love to win the book because it is where I am right know. I try every morning to start fresh, but I failnevery time and don’t feel like I can get out of it. Looking forward to learning from the five day challenge and need to read the book.

  104. Watched Lysa on the Today show. Wish she had had a chance to share more of her Spirit inspired wisdom but it was great to see her recognized.

  105. Just signed up for the 5-day challenge. I know I need the Lord’s help to be a exemplify His behavior and be a good example to my children and grandchildren. Thank you Lysa for the opportunity to learn from what God has taught you.

  106. I sent this to my sister via email. She can really use it!

  107. I signed up for the challange and I can’t wait!!

  108. I want to win because I need this book! I come unglued so easily and often that I can’t stand myself much of the time. The tiniest things can set me off. I want to blame it on hormones, on being about to turn 50, and being about to lose my job. But, as my pastor said yesterday, we can’t control what happens to us, but we can control how we react to what happens. So, it my responsibility to react in a Godly way. I really need help with this 🙂 !

  109. Dale Katherine Beaver says:

I subscribed to the daily! Looking forward to each day. Last week I got some news that had me distraught. In a frantic search to watch or listen to something that would point me in the right direction, I came across a link to the first DVD lesson in the Unglued Series. It was from a devotional on 2 Chron. 20, which I had just been reading and have read many times in the last year as we are in a battle for our teen daughters life, she suffers from bad choices made and depression. All that to say the lesson from Unglued was just what I needed for that moment. I took notes that helped me that very afternoon and keep them handy to reread. I am looking forward to getting the book and complete DVD series. Thank you!

    • Also, I ordered the book and subscribed to the challenge/emails a few months ago. Lysa has been a GODSEND for me! I feel like God has really used her words to impact me over and over again and help me through a rough time after I had my son. I am an elder at my church and my husband and I also lead a bible study. I feel like so many other women in my life could benefit from Lysa’s words of wisdom!

Today was a bad day. When I saw this and read it I felt like she was reading my thoughts and putting them to paper (or screen). I’ve gone to counseling for my anger/yelling. And desperately want to act right when I feel “raw emotions.”

  133. Amanda Redman says:

    I shared this on Facebook.

  134. Angela Robbins says:

  136. Jessica Dreesen says:

It’s 2:36 am and I’m entering to win this book and DVD. I am starting a small group for single moms in January 2013 and this study material would come in very handy for them. Especially because as single moms the money and time are tight which just adds to the burden of our plight. Being able to do it all and still love our children without blowing up at what is normally a minor infraction would help lessen the guilt we feel from the day to day issues. We are more than conquerors through Christ who strengthens us.

  137. Rebecca Siharath says:

I bough the book! I would love to win so I could do a bible study with my mom! We’ve never worshiped together, and I think this would be a great start!! PICK ME!!!!!

  138. I signed up for the Unglued 5 day challenge and I’m looking forward to what God will teach me through it. I have a lot of unglued moments lately as I’m dealing with a struggling marriage, my husbands work which is taking him out of town a lot and attitudes and struggles with the four younger of our eight children. Stress seems to be a daily occurance. Can’t wait to see how God is going to work and how He’s going to grow me through all this.

  139. Jenny Rutan says:

Ladies, how many of us try to control…EVERYTHING…in our lives, just like our original mother Eve! I would love a copy to read and share with my two daughters as well as other ladies to help us with our CONTROL ISSUES! Thanks so much for helping us all to grow more Christ-like in our walk. God Bless you all!
    Jenny

  140. I am signing up for the Unglued challenge. Have heard great things about the book,

  141. I would like to receive a copy of Let it go book, because, I am sure there are a lot things that we really dont let it go, and I am willing to learn what else I need to let go, for the 2nd copy, would be a great free gift to someone, specially now that me and my husband are unemployed.

  142. Latash Alexander says:

I just finished watching Lysa Terkeust on the Today show and I was so connected to what she was saying. I could relate so well to being in the process of allowing the Holy Spirit to guide me with my high altitude emotions. I enjoyed her so much that I friended her on facebook and did a little research into her blog, a Bible study she suggested online and finally after looking through her all of her inspiring post came across your giveaway.
I would love to win your giveaway, I woman starting her life over. I am an ex convict, ex drug addict that has been renewed and restored by the love of my Savior. Within the last few years He has taken through many different facets of changes BUT at this moment the ladder has been going upward!!! I am just shy of a year before I get my degree in Psychology with a minor in Christian counseling and Life Coaching, on July 14,2012 I was ordained in Ministry, I am in the process and mentoring and speaking at Rockdale CO. Jail, Conyers, Ga (trying to give back in the jail that I was incarcerated in and saved at by the Apostle that recently ordained me, and just this week I was contacted by the Chaplian at the jail to come to a Board Meeting at One Heart Ministries which he directs and was asked to attend his church today to see if I would be interested in overseeing their young girls Ministry to help guide at risk young ladies. God is moving so swiftly right now in my life to give back from the very area that almost took me out! After listening this morning and reading not only many of Lisa’s blogs but yours as well you too ladies bring alot to the table that would help guide me, give me clarity, open me up to some areas that I still need help on myself and I believe being able to share some of these thoughts with my girls could make a great impact. I very much want to win all of these resources but even more I am glad that I found the both of you;}. If there are any other directions or resources that you might be able to shed light on for me I would love to hear from you. thank you for you blogs, information and your contest. may God Bless you and keep you spreading His joy and light!!!!
